The Narmada is also known as the Rewa.  It is a river located in central India also it is the 5th longest river in the Indian subcontinent It is the 4th longest river flowing in India. It forms the traditional boundary between North India and South India and flows westwards over a length of 1,312 km (815.2 mi) before draining through the Gulf of Cambay into the Arabian Sea, 30 km (18.6 mi) west of Bharuch city of Gujarat. It is one of only three major rivers in peninsular India that run from east to west (longest west flowing river), along with the Tapti River and the Mahi River. 



   

Pollution can be in a variety of forms: Rubbish like crisp packets, newspaper and bags. Oil Poisonous substances Cans, bottles and other solid objects Human waste / excrement The addition of harmful or toxic material that results in degradation of the quality of water is termed as water pollution. Today, it has become a global concern, with an annual average of 5 million people dying because of water-related problems.

Long-term health effects can include chronic respiratory disease, lung cancer, heart disease, and even damage to the brain, nerves, liver, or kidneys.

We should not throw the domestic wastes into rivers. We should not take bath and wash clothes in rivers . Industries should clean the chemical wastes before discharging it into rivers. We should create awareness among other people. Farmers should use manure instead of fertilizers because fertilizers are flow away with rainwater into rivers and caused great effect to aquatic species.
