What is a Youth School
The first Youth school in Lithuania was established in 1993. Currently, Lithuania has 24 youth schools. Youth schools exist in all European countries, but are called differently: "Effective training school", "Last Chance," Educational and social adjustment classes and so on. This school - is an alternative of the usuall educational institution.
Why do children get to the youth school
Lack of social skills. Tendency to practical activities Lack of confidence and low self-esteem Negative public opinion and influence
The are: 81 students are studying at our school: 60 boys and 20 girls There are 7 grades. There are approximately 10 students in each grade. We have 2 term.
The educational workload has been reduced An interdisciplinary integration (Plan). Two teachers work during the lesson and instead of two lessons students have only one. Civics / History / Lithuanian for the 10th grade History / Lithuanian for the 6-7 grades. Chemistry / Biology / Physics / pre-vocational training Lions Quest program / class meetings

Children's methods „Kirpykloje“ Žinau, ką piešiu. Kuo noriu būti, tą ir piešiu. Nelabai moku piešt kėdę. O du žmones galima piešt? Tai dar lempą pripiešiu, reikia sienas nuspalvint. Esu kirpyklėlėje. Bandau kirpti žmogų. Šalia manęs mano draugė, kuri nori nusikirpti plaukus. Tai mano geriausia draugė. Džiaugiuosi, kad nesugadinau draugės plaukų.
„Aš ir automobilis“ Gal po 2 metų mokėsiu važiuoti mašina. Esu mašinoje, važiuoju keliu. Vairuoju mašiną. Šalia vairavimo mokytojas, bet čia jo nesimato. Draugauju su vairavimo mokytoju. Džiaugiuosi, kad nepadariau avarijos ir išmokau važiuoti.

Arvydas pirmą kartą padarė tai, ką buvo įsipareigojęs, nuo įsipareigojimo nepabėgo. Sustiprėjo mokinio pasitikėjimas savimi, išryškėjo
atsakomybės jausmas“.
The results in two years. „Galiu pasidžiaugti, kad geriau sutariu su savo šeima, ypač su vyresniu broliu. Atsirado naujų pomėgių. Pradėjo patikti žaisti krepšinį. Galvoju, kad pasikeičiau į gerąją pusę“. „Pradėjau eiti į mokyklą, tas yra gerai, pradėjau skaityti knygą, apie gyvenimo prasmę“
„Ir šiandien man patinka naktiniai žygiai. Patinka žygiai su mokiniais ir su suaugusiais. Labai laukiu vasaros, kurios pradžioje dalyvausiu tradicinėje sukarintoje mokinių stovykloje“.

Evaluation
 Each student filled in by the electronic social activity diary, which reflects operation and activities.  Tutor determines social competence.  Social competence is assessed through 5 levels.
