People are not only suffered from illness in their terminal time, but also cause national fiscal incidence. The latest global trend in long-term care is focusing on "Early Prevention of Disability".

Retiring Baby Boomers in Taiwan
Retirement Lead to Losing Social Links Affect Physical and Mental Health
Which Motivation Is Strong Enough for Seniors to Build a New Habit
According to the experts, the difference between baby boomers and their former generation is that they face the retirement with conceptual plans, not passively forced to confront it. By promoting the concept of "Early Prevention of Disability", we lock our target at retiring people. Through interviewing seniors and understanding their thoughts, we hope to bring them another interesting choice of exercise.
After interviewing, we found out that retirement is a important turning point in our life. It's crucial that we start to redesign our daily life. Otherwise, declining in social interaction and sense of achievement in works causes the high probability of losing connection with society. People rarely exercise nor interact with society are at high risk of getting degenerative disease.
In our research of how to build a new habit, we found out that some seniors instead of using exercise equipments bought by their childern, they preferred to use ones in parks. Actually, they go to parks for chatting with the neighbors, and used those equipments "just in passing". Therefore, we realized that Emotional Motivation is the most powerful motivation for seniors to build a new habit.

Long-term Cooperation
To Retirees | We hold interactive experience activities with dogs in community colleges or adult daycare centers in order to get retirees interested in Jowalk service, and develop potential customers.
After they finished the training programs, retirees become a Jowalk dog sitter, which we call it "Jowalker" . Jowalker will regularly get health check, and doctors will evaluate which sizes of dogs is best for the jowalker.
By using jowalk app, owners can find a fitness jowalker near their place, and make an interview appointment. The searching results are ordered by the distance between owner's and jowalker's places in order to promoting the mutual cooperation in community.
Jowalk app records the exercise statement of jowalkers, and send the GPS location to owner for their concern.
Jowalker and owner both leave a review after the service. If they cooperate well, owner can reserve a long-term cooperation. Both become friends which can take care of each other in the community.

INSIGHT We interviewed many owners about the stuffs which they will bring on when they are walking dogs, and asked doctors what seniors must bring on while they are exercising.
We seperated the stuffs used regularly, like phone and poopbags, from others, and designed a better way to take them out.

Using Umbrella Cloth
By several paper prototypes, we tested the ideas selected from sketches in order to find out which one is feasibility and usability, and kept remodifying and testing to find the best product.
Strat from learning patterning. We made cloth prototypes to get more accurate results from usasbility test, and optimized several details, before we talked to the tailor.
After talking to tailor, we remodified some details by manufacturing point of view. For exemple, it's not suitable for canvas to make a clamshell phone bag, so we change it into zipper one. We added interlining inside the canvas to make it more stiff.
Considering it's a bag for going outside, we change it into umbrella cloth which is water-proof and lighter. Overall appearance becomes more younger and sporting.

We first listed the primary and secondary task. Then, we wrote down all function and imformation which task requires, and organized them in several ways to find the best app flow.
With many functions in app, the biggest challenge for us is how to bind app into our service, and make the hole service run more smoothly, not more complicated.
After many times discussing and remodifing the wireframe, we simplified the number of buttons in tab bar from five to four, and enlarged them.
Because we hope that people in community interact more to each other, we dicided to choose "message" to be the spine in our service, instead of order form.

BABY PRODUCT DESIGN in CHICKABIDDY.Co - Internship, Jul-Aug 2016 - Contracted Product Designer, Jul-Nov 2017 Because the company is reforming its product style, I handled 15 products during my time in the company, and mainly dealed with the product appearance design and optimized the product details. The materials of product I've dealed with are silicone, plastic, and stanless steel.

RESEARCH AND IDEATION We first do conpetitive product analysis, and use image board to find our appearance positioning of product. Before I sketch a lot, I do product deconstruction to make sure I won't miss any details about the product, and that helps me clear my head and pop up more ideas.

QUICK TESTING
Quick test for structure of pacifier box
We use 3D printing and handy stuffs to make quick testing prototypes for feasibility and usability test, or modify the appearance design. By seeing and using the real size of the design, we can get more accurate testing results.
When we were thinking what structure inside a pacifier box is able to hold all sizes of pacifier tightly, we came up with this idea. Therefore, we cut a real pacifier for quick usability testing.

COLOR SAMPLE I organize some color schemes which refer to the color trend of similar products and the color style of company's products, and make 3D rendering for discussion. After we decide our final version, we pick PANTONE colors matching to it and ask factory to make samples. We remodify several times with factory to find the suitable color.

Without using adhesive, all tablewares can be separated into a plastic piece and a stainless steel piece. Parents will be able to wash every parts of these tablewares by disassembling them. Thus, there are no more chance for germs to flourish.
With the tilted structure, kids can eat easily with the food gathered. It is also suitable for the big and the small bowl. The sucker has applied for a patent.

Because parents usually use one hand to cuddle their baby while they are going to feed it, they usually open the feeding bottle by the other hand.
I combined the bulge that is the aided design for sliding of the cap with the surface treatment of the product in order to maintain the integrity of the whole product appearance.
Bulge Design The bulge on the top half of the cap makes it easier for users to slide off the cap at a push of a finger.

Smoothly Curved Rim The thread is designed with a smoothly curved rim and it tilts for about 9 degree angle to ensure that the bottle cap slides off smoothly.

SYSTEM CABINETS STORE THINGS WE RARELY USE In Taiwan, kitchen usually is designed with system cabinets to store kitchenwares. It looks quite in ordered, but actually stores lots of things we rarely using. Large things has no where to store, like wok, which always lies on gas stove. Therefore, we hope to hang the kitchenware which is usually used, and say goodbye to system cabinets and useless tools. In addition, we want to give cooking enthusiasts a fancier way to show off their beloved kitchenwares.

HANGER ON THE MARKET OUR G O A L
In the market, the common hanger is S type hook. The problem is, this kind of hanger is only suitable for tools with holes, the round pipe makes it unstable, and we always take out the tools with the hooks. Thus, we hope to design a new kind of hanger, and have a better experience in storing kitchenwares.

Plus, many parents will buy unnatural baby rice for their baby because they are too busy at work. It is easier and faster than the natural one, but is bad for baby. It's not eco-friendly to use a lot of one-time Ziploc bac.

SKETCH AND PROTOTYPE Not only sketching. Once I come up with an idea, I use the simplest way to prototype it. This can help to know if the idea works out or not, and modify the idea, or even come up with another totally different idea by playing the prototypes.

LIP CONNECTION There is a hole on the bottom of the sealing lid. When users put on the lid, it will be connected to the dividing boards. Users are thus able to take out the dividing board without having their hands dirty.
NUTRIENTS PROPORTION The color yellow,red and green of the dividers represent starch, protein and vegetables respectively. There are eight dividers in total, three for yellow, three for red and two for green, which tells the users the right concept of the nutrients proportion in a meal. ( Starch : protein : vegetables = 3 : 3 : 2 )

VOLUME LABEL DESIGN Color blocks are easily noticed than linear lables. Therefore, Foodi changes volume lable from linear lables into color blocks. There is a space for ice inflation on the top of the dividing board.

REUSABLE Tempered glass material is chosen for the container not only to make it safe but also reusable. Without dividing boards, it becomes a normal crisper. Therefore, users wouldn't have to be worried about buying a lot of disposables anymore.
HOW TO USE
1 Put dividing board into the container.

Pour food puree into containers
Put on the sealing lid and put it into the refrigerator
Take out the container, pull out the air vent on the lip, and heat it up
Open the container with divided board, stir the food puree and feed to baby

CONCEPT Conbine classical and modern elements, create a new fashion image than before.
CHARACTER DESIGN The charactar is based on Noto Sans. I make every stroke thinner, and change the head and tail of the stroke into the form like the calligraphy to create classical sense.
