June 12- 17, 2022

Celebrating our 15th anniversary of this program, 21st Century Leaders and the Georgia Power Foundation have partnered together for EarthCare, our energy and STEMfocused summer leadership institute, serving nearly 1,300 students since 2008. Through the support of the Georgia Power Foundation, 100 students are accepted each year to participate in this week-long leadership development program at no cost.

At EarthCare 2022, students explored various energy, sustainability, and STEM topics as well as leadership challenges through speakers and panels, roundtable networking, workshops on diversity and inclusion, GiANT’s 5 Voices, and communication exercises with Southern Company’s Toastmasters, all with Georgia Power professionals and community leaders. They even got to visit a nuclear power plant! The support of the Georgia Power Foundation provided this life-changing experience at no cost to the students.

75% of students reported that attending EarthCare was their first time participating in a program focused on developing leadership skills
