Pattern 上面に施された年輪の模様は、ベースのテクスチャとの 統一感を出すと同時に、2分割されたヘッドがぴったりとく っついた時の心地よさを生み出す。 The head has the pattern of an annual ring of a tree. It makes us feel good when both parts come at a same angle.

シートを半分も使っていない 日々の生活をオブザベーションするなかで、普段の部屋の掃除作法や習慣に注目した。 普段部屋の掃除で当たり前のように使っているフローリングモップのシートは、本体 の底面にあたる部分しか使わずに捨てていることに気づいた。 During the observation of my daily life, I focused on how I clean my room. I noticed that the flooring mop sheet used for cleaning the room was thrown away using only the bottom part of the main body.

従来のフローリングモップではシートを挟み込む部分は使わずに捨てられていた。そのためシートの約 40％の面積しか使われていなかったが、シートを上面ではなく側面に挟み込みポールとの接続部分を浮か すことで倍の 80% の面積を有効活用することができる。
In the conventional flooring mop, the part that sandwiched the sheet was discarded without using it. Therefore, only about 40% of the area of the seat was used, but by sandwiching the sheet on the side rather than on the upper side, it is possible to effectively utilize the area of 80% of the fold.

せまいところに手がとどく ポールを地面に平行にすることで、冷蔵庫の下などの高さのない 隙間も掃除できる。また、側面を使うことで幅の狭い箇所などの 今まで掃除しきれなかった箇所にも手がとどくようになる。
In the conventional flooring mop, the connecting part with the pole was positioned in the center of the main body. Therefore, I could not clean the narrow gap. By making the main body rotate 360 degrees, however, it is possible to get in to the place which could not be cleaned up to now.

もう一度役割を与える 一ヶ月という時間を共に過ごしたカレンダーを、ただ捨ててしまうのはもったいない のと同時に情緒がないと感じた。そのため、使い終わったカレンダーにもう一度役割 を与えることはできないだろうかと考えた。
I felt that there was no emotion at the same time it was a waste to just throw away the calendar that spent a month of time together. Therefore, I thought I could give the role to the used calendar again.

野生の動物たちを見ることで、彼らの本来あるべき姿を知ることができた。また、コスタリカの人々 が自然を尊重し、積極的に保護活動を行う姿は動物たちにとって本当に有益な人と動物の関係性につ いて考えるきっかけとなった。 Seeing animals in their natural habitat teaches us more about how they actually live in the wild. It is still important to observe animals and to rehabilitate weak ones and introduce them back into the wild, but in a way that is more beneficial to the animal. The relationship Ticos had with nature was inspiring to us.
