The Illawarra Flame

The Illawarra Flame is an independent publication, locally owned and operated, a voice for volunteers, sustainability, small biz and the arts. Named after a beautiful tree, the Flame shines a light on the Illawarra’s people and places. It is free for everyone to read, thanks to advertising support from local business partners. The Flame is the only local publication delivered to both letterboxes and inboxes. Each month, 11k print magazines are hand-delivered to homes, libraries and businesses in Wollongong; each season 5k print magazines are letterboxed in Shellharbour. The digital Weekend edition is delivered free on Fridays to email inboxes around the Illawarra.
