1Why do you like TikTok as a platform?
I love that Tiktok has been a platform for a wide variety of creators and their styles! I enjoy being able to make comedy videos that range in pace and tone, and it’s a much more forgiving algorithm I think as far as allowing videos to be seen outside of your immediate network of followers.
2Who are some of your comedic influences
Madeleine Kahn, Carol Burnett, Maria Bamford, Jenny Slate, Kristen Wiig, Cheri Oteri, Molly Shannon
3Your supervisor who tries to be “one of the gals” is sooooo funny - how did you come up w that?
I just thought about every boss I’ve ever had and put their most jarring moments together. I’ve heard the “boss hat” line so many times at various jobs that I decided to make it literal with the silliest hat I could find… a dumbo hat!
4Your White House spokesperson Jen Psaki impression is so dead-on- besides looking like Jen - what is the secret to portraying her?
She has a cadence to her speech that’s very measured, along with how she gestures and nods, I think those physical details are important along with holding onto a core point of view. For Jen, I started by playing her as more soft-spoken, like a school teacher, then more recently in her responses to Peter Doocy I’ve let her lean into some gentle confrontation.
5What are your goals and future plans ?
I hope to continue to grow as an actor and writer, ideally as a content creator as well. I hope to get stronger at editing my own work since that creative control can be very freeing.
