PROJECT INTRODUCTION | Research Timeline of Project Deformation

The tessellating topic in 3-dimensional mainly reflect on polyhedral honeycomb and geometry framework, but not included the deformation of polyhedron nor the spatial form that could be generated by honeycomb behavior. The purpose of this dissertation is to seek the form generating possibility by 2-dimensional tessellation pattern, when using 3-dimensional honeycomb as framework. Moreover, pushes the art of tessellation applied in architecture in a higher dimension through rebuild the morphological logic using parametric modeling tools.

The final phase is to examine the diversity of tessellation patterns which could be applied in different polyhedron to generate minimal surface tiles, and proceeding stacking behavior whenever a model be imported, in addition applying path-generating algorithm to reproduce an aggregation form while keep slightly differences between parametric adjustments.
