Military symbols NATO Military Symbol is a set of graphic symbols (or ideograms) that are usually used in maps, stands and diagrams to represent military units, targets, actions or any other objects that have a military meaning. This font has been developed based on the APP-6 standards. It incorporates main symbols and similarly to Wingdigs is a set of symbol (not alphabetic) signs. There are four sign sets in the NATO Military Symbol suit. The signs are grouped based on the font style: 1. FRIEND - Military Symbol Regular; 2. HOSTILE - Military Symbol Bold; 3. NEUTRAL - Military Symbol Italic; 4. UNKNOWN - Military Symbol Bold Italic.

Recommendations By changing the font style you change the sign's group that represents different contestants in military operations. The sign remains the same, for example the sign Armour. What changes is the geometric figure framing the sign. Simple types of signs are available immediately. The complex signs are created through combination of symbols. The easy way to create complex signs is to type symbols with spaces between them. Overlay of elements is accomplished through font kerning and looks solid.

Examples To combine elements, please follow the instruction sequence. The sign is devided into logical fields as shown in the figure. The number of the logical field represents the sequence of completion. Please use the Glifs panel for symbol selection. The colorful background is a zero level and is created as a default level in the combination of glyphs.
