Introduction
Mayor of Lewisham, Sir Steve Bullock officially opening the 2inspire Academy Youth Summer Programme. August 2013 2inspire Academy CIC is an organisation that runs projects that empower and inspire in local communities. We aim to be a leader on improving the life chances of these groups on a national level and assist in tackling social issues such as worklessness, anti-social behavior and demoralised and disenfranchised communities. When the academy was initially formed in March 2013 it was a project that was set up by a group of young people to meet the needs of young people. In May 2015 the Academy became a CIC and the work and direction of the organisation now encompasses children, young people and women. One of our core objectives is to work in partnership with organisations, community groups, local government and housing associations so as to meet the needs of our target groups. Aims and objectives of our projects for the groups we engage:
To help them focus on what's important for them now and in the future, providing them with access to positive opportunities and role models. To enable them to make informed decisions, increase their skills and achieve personal targets to become confident active citizens within their communities. To meet their educational, professional, entrepreneurial and employability needs . To meet their emotional, personal, health, life-skills and development milestones .

PROJECTS Inspire the Youth programme A range of training and development workshops. Workshops included: CV writing, Interview Techniques, Multimedia, Enterprise skills , Music production & Dance. Young, gifted & talented: Aspiring artists under the age of 30 and actively pursuing a career in music are given a chance to be a part of this music development project .This projects gives the artists the experience of working in a recording studio where they will reap the benefits of working with producers and engineers. They are also given mentors, and various positive platforms (events) to express themselves. Project “ I AM� is targeted towards young parents. The project is devised to meet the needs of this group to ensure they address some of the issues they face and work towards positive goals for their families. The project will produce results in attendees life's in areas such as Family, Relationships, Health, Finance, Safety, Leisure, Work and More . Ready, Set, Go:Prepare for success This is a workshop to get young people ready for employment, it includes , CV preparation, Interview techniques and job search. Anything is Possible
This is a workshop that introduces young people to young role models who have achieved great things with their life despite adversity. The talks will include discussions about what they have been through and how they made it.

PROJECTS Ready, Set, Go:Prepare for success This is a workshop to get young people ready for employment, it includes looking at training and voluntary opportunities, CV and interview preparation and job search. Projects for Young Ex-offenders Together with partner agencies the Academy have tailored two of their successful programmes to meet the needs of ex-offenders so as to help increase their selfconfidence and teach them how to be self-motivated and to aim high in life. The programmes were devised to ensure individuals who have been institutionalised attend and address some of the challenging issues they face as they try and make the challenging transition from prison back to everyday life . Barclays Money Skills: We run a national Barclays Money skills programme to help other young people to develop and improve their financial skills, knowledge and confidence. The programme tackles topics such as opening a bank account; budgeting, saving and spending. Football Skills & coaching: Football skills are practiced with young people in a structured manner on a weekly manner. Those showing interest and potential can be referred on to FA football coaching course to enable them to become coaches to other young children. Performing Arts lessons We provide opportunities for children from different backgrounds to engage in performing art activities . We want to help children and young people access the arts, have high aspirations and reach their potential.

PROJECTS Raising Teenagers This is a workshop that gives parents practical advice on guiding children through their hectic teen years and preparing them for the big wide world beyond school and home. It provides the participant with the essential skills they will need to guide their teenager through this challenging time; and help them to learn what vital skills they can share to allow their adults to become confident, independent productive members of their local community. It also helps parents to understand and identify signs of teen gang involvement. 2inspire Network 2 Inspire Network is our flagship project that provides positive platforms with the aim to empower and inspire women. It is dedicated to providing events, social media platforms & training opportunities that empower & inspire women particularly in business. A main objective of the project is to support women in enterprise and to assist them to enhance their socio-economic outcomes. The aim is to assist entrepreneurs to find innovative ways to promote their business and provide forums and events that allow women to network, develop collaborative working relationships and inspire others.
2inspire Academy CIC has a number of additional projects which can be run that cover topics in Parenting, Careers advice & guidance, Work and Business training. We also can develop projects which are tailor made for a particular group.
