PROJECT BRIEF The brief spoke of constructing a project that is carefully tailored to fit into a forest setting with ease. A building consisting of a living space, dining and bedroom that acts as a weekend retreat in Eagleton, Bangalore and Mysore. It is designed in an industrial style decor which marries sleek modernity and old world charm with an organic, lived in feel to create the perfect play of contrasts.
CONTEXT The site is situated in Bangalore encompassed by an excellent neighborhood comprising of various vistas on the street. The vast canopies of the trees and wide asphalts accommodated a free development.

INTENT

Eagleton cabin is designed as a tool made to accomplish something – in this case an escape to nature. This building is rooted in the manufacture of industrial objects, so the term shelter is a typology that allows us to define this hybrid as a spacious, functionally generic, livable object.
Optimised RCC sub-structure.
Minimal peripheral stuctural grid at the super-structure.
Overhangs created with tapering M.S -R.C.C composite members. Also creats a transitional space peripheral to the internal volume.
Minimal solid walls to ensure maximum openess.
Skylight at the toilet space to create and an outdoor experience.
