Atlas of emulations of the Informal I
A reception center that welcomes the guests was created and workshops were also developed for both residents and visitors. In this way, people of different nationalities come to work together and learn from each other. Furthermore, accommodation was not built for the visitors as they are hosted by local families wishing to take part in the Favela Experience. The metallic structure The main characteristic of this design is a metallic structure that runs through the whole area, moving in and out of the buildings. It is two storeys high for the most part, except for the center of the open air space of Area 30, where it climbs to the height of the fourth floor. This structure consists of open air spaces and internal areas that have various uses.

Construction details Four Four construction details have been chosen in order to design the furniture for Area 30. These details have each been used in a different way, according to four criteria, conception - construction - material - image. This furniture is going to be designed and constructed entirely by the participants of the workshops. The knowledge needed will be provided by the volunteers to the Favela Experience program.

The Box is perforated by a thick wall that separates the subsidiary sectors of the museum on the ground floor (Laboratory- Library and the Auditorium) as these functions are not open to the public, except for special occasions. In order to make this wall distinctive it is made from three diferent materials that give it a unique, rough colorful texture.

Ithaca island is located in Greece and has an agriculture-based economy. The olive oil and wine industries are the most developped ones, whereas the trick program reveals the dark side of the island. The undercover production of ambrosia, which is Olympian gods’ food, along with the regular program compose the myth program of Ithaca island. A Pop Up architecture emerges according to the agricultural operations and needs.

The concept of this proposal consists of an aerial complex that runs through the olive groves and the vineyards. Part of this complex is also the winery, which is proceeded in the final floor plan. The protodocuments created for this project indicate the delicate balance in between the secret production and peaceful life on the island. Nature, divine, time, labor and machinery time, are some of the concepts expressed via the material, the conceptual model the proto-sections and the proto-models.

the Laser Harp
project type: building construction design V with Anna Ktoridou, Valia Margariti program: public installation, art production and building construction design V completion: 01.2013
This project aims to explore the concept of the wall and develop it up to its latest detail. The initial intentions of our team were to design a public installation that would produce music when people interacted with it. So, we came up with the idea of including a musical instrument inside the wall but we didn’t want to bound to its typical form or operation. The final design comprises a thick wall of metallic stucture 3m high that is covered on its two long sides by white PVC. The surfaces that are in between are covered by frosted glass and they are lightened from the inside in the night. This wall has a big hole on it, where two seats are found, shaped as cubes. When sitted someone can interact with the wall as there are laser rays coming out of the bottom of the hole. This laser system along with a sound system produses music tones when system someone places their handthrough the rays.
