When I Grow Up… By: 2nd Grade 2017
Ambitious second graders did the following writings as they considered their future careers. The students worked on their writings and drew a picture. Enjoy their writings!
TEACHER When I grow up, I want to be a teacher. My first grade teacher her name was Mrs.Haily inspired me. The students need to learn. Teachers need to teach students how learn so they can pass tests! They will fail and I do not want them to fail. It would be good if they get all the answers right. I would like to be a teacher when I grow up it might be fun teaching and let them learn new thing. They need to read because if they have a test and there is reading in the test they will not know what the questions say. They need to know how to spell words because they might have spelling tests. If they have a test that you have to spell words they will have to be in the same grade like if you are in 2nd grade and you get every questions wrong on every single test you will have go to 2nd grade again, and you will be the oldest one in your class. You might have fun learning. I cannot wait to teach when I am a grown up.
ARMY SOLDIER When I grow up, I want to be in the Army. In the army, they use guns and tanks. When the big guns run out, they use a pistol. Using the right tools help to protect people. When the army goes hiding, they take a 4- wheeler on the ground. When they fight in different countries, it helps save families. Being a soldier with the right tools helps me serve and protect our country was inspired by call of duty to help others I look forward to growing up so I can protect the world.
Singer When I grow up, I want to be a singer. I like to sing my dad inspired me to sing because we sing together at the house .We listen to music on his phone with his D.J set. Singer’s write their own songs. I like to write my own songs too! Singers perform. I like to perform too! Singers go all over the world to sing songs. I like to go all over the world to sing songs.

Miner When I grow up, I want to be a miner. I was inspired to become a miner by a show. Watching the show taught me how to mine. I like to use tools. I like to dig and find treasure. Mining is a very dangerous job. Sometimes the top can fall down on them. Miners work hard and together, which helps friendship to grow. I am excited to be a miner when I grow up so I can find treasure.

PRESIDENT When I grow up, I want to be a President. Barack Obama inspired me because he made the country a better place. I want to be the first girl president. Train Driver When I grow up, I will be a train driver. I will get to see how much water is in the boiler because I get to see how much faster the train can go. I get to control the train's speed because I can get people to the right stashes. I get to blow the whistle. I can drive the train. I have trains at home I like to play with them.

Gymnast When I grow up, I want a famous Gymnast. Heather, the owner of Heather Studio, inspired me. One reason I want to be a famous Gymnast is that I like to tumble, jump, and do all kinds of flips on the trampolines. Another reason I would like to be a famous Gymnast is that there is lots of practice and teamwork. There is also exercise to get fit. Scientist When I grow up I want to be a scientist's .Using Lego’s to build and television shows inspired me. Scientists are discovering new things. When I went to the river I found fossils! Scientists get to experiment! I saw an experiment with food coloring that changed colors. It was awesome. I look forward to discovering new things as a scientist when I grow up.

Zookeeper I want to be a zookeeper when I grow up because I love animals. Another reason is that my brother inspired me because he loves animals too! I have four more reasons for you. Farmer I want to be a farmer. My great grandpa inspired me because he started the farm 101 years ago. I like feeding the animals so they stay alive. I know how to run all tractors you could plant beans and corn. And I and Gabe are running it. You can plant beans, corn, and wheat. Some tractors are John Deere.
