ABOUT ME
BIOGRAPHY
Taking a walk down memory lane, My interest in space design initially enlightens from several factors. First of all, I lived in two distinctively different cities in my childhood due to my family influence; one was a picturesque ancient village filling with historical sites and monuments, another one was a vigorous modern city. Therefore, I tremendously gained preceptive experiences of space and environment between the two places. The second factor was my reading habit, which cultivated my imagination and creativity. Both of them buried a seed that made me dedicate to the specialty of space design. When I first entered the college, I found that the majority of my classmates already had some background knowledge or they comparing with them, I was just a beginner in the department. In fact, I actually felt grateful for my identity as a beginner, which made me sense my progress. From the phase that I made all my efforts to chase others’ pace to the stage that my works could reach a level on a par with my classmates; in the end, I was not only leading the class but also spurring them to move forward. Furthermore, because I started my voyage from the starting point, I could realize how far did I go through from the beginning and remind myself to keep my enthusiastic attitude. I learned so much at the university and built a strong foundation for my design career; I understood how the environmental and cultural factors influence “architecture,” the outer casing; thus, I further comprehended meanings and functions of “interior design” by the comparison with the subject of architecture. In brief, I believe that Interior design is a subject which surrounding the core thought of “serving people.” After completed my one-year mandatory military service, I returned DC space design & construction ltd., the company which I had worked for the internship with intense passion. Residence design projects are DC group’s primary profession, and a residence design requires sophisticated skills to handle, although I struggled to absorb abundance knowledge for bridging the gap between academia and field as if I backed to the starting point; however, I still enjoyed this process. The opportunities to link what I had learned in the school with the real field are such an exciting matter. In this period, I mainly devoted to studies of textures and details; meanwhiles, I further laid the groundwork for my design style. Besides, I also applied my social ability, which was improved by my experiences in the student association, to properly coordinate and communicate with clients and various construction teams.

00 BACKGROUND HTC, a native brand worth Taiwanese people’s proud, is an international brand which is known by the globe. After it was manufacturing products of many famous global companies, HTC decided to liberate itself from the boundary of production and created its own brand and dedicated itself to research and development with its abundant experience in this field. It announced its

first cellphone in 2006. By those years, HTC became a leader in the industry because of its excellent products and outstanding design. I decide this flagship store not only to pay my respect to this native brand but also to promote this brand to more people. The design of this store should well demonstrate HTC’s company philosophy and core spirit as well as provides a better experience of shopping for customers.

To be a brand image in front of the public, HTC Hall has three following elements. 1. Asymmetry - Based on the Form of the Diamond, I like to emphasize the lively and artistic spirit of a technological Brand. 2. Corridor - I would like to create a corridor-like space, which welcomes people to visit HTC hall with a smooth circulation. 3. Sculpture - To impress people, HTC Hall has a dynamic and dramatic looking; therefore, it can serve as an artistic sculpture in an opening field or a park.

this project. Those elements are very moving and beautiful, The key point of the project is the process of turning these elements into space features.
Coldplay - Yellow
The site of the project located at a picturesque scenic area in Yilan Wai’ao, which is known as it’s fabulous sea scene. The original building consisted of two floors and had a very regular appearance. The patron is a B&B owner, and he unique B&B by design. Moreover, he wants the core concept of the new design should conceive with his favorite song. The core concept of the project is famous British band Coldplay’s song yellow in 2000. Yellow is a song which was written when the lead singer Chris Martin was chasing his wife. It describes a blonde girl is running on a beach with sunshine gently . This
beautiful view profoundly attracts him; thus the patron wants to use this song to illustrate Wai’ao’s fascinating landscape.
Look at the stars, Look how they shine for you, And everything you do, Yeah they were all yellow,
I'd like to draw a line, The line divides people between daily life and vacation.
I came along I wrote a song for you And all the things you do And it was called yellow So then I took my turn Oh all the things I’ve done And it was all yellow
In this B&B,
Your skin Oh yeah your skin and bones Turn into something beautiful D’you know you know I love you so You know I love you so
Look at the Star Look How they Shine For You
I’d like to present a starry night sky for people from cities.
I swam across I jumped across for you Oh all the things you do Cause you were all yellow

BACKGROUND
Tamsui, the first international harbor of Taiwan, has a thriving and prosperous past. It is an affluent town comprised of active citizens and merchants that walked on the bustling streets, crowded stores and firms filled with the people eager to do business, sails of the merchant ships from distant countries looked like a white forest floating on the sea. Known as “the beautiful town by the harbor and mountains”, Tamsui has inspired many famous local traces shaped the town’s unique elegance. There is a street named Chongjian street, located on the

00 BACKGROUND This is an exhibition design attempt to shift the focus from an overwork. We mainly focus on the exhibition products and use this fair space to supple them. We will interpret the micro-point as a gradual process or step; then focus on the various points (works). From the entrance to the center of this space, we gradually covering audiences into the environment, so that the volume and the exhibits are linked with each other. The exhibition site is in a simple tone white background to set off our lively Visual Graphic. the pavilion is configured with a single moving line that allows one to easily complete a comfort journey. The design process also follows

I would like to create a pure space So pure that as if it can embrace owner’s everything.

01 DESCRIPTION house, half of the house is 400 cm in height and the other half is 280 cm in height; moreover, the floor height is also different. These original conditions bring out the importance of spatial integration in this project. I must to combine and simplify the complicated contours, levels, and forms in this space very carefully; otherwise, this residence will be occupied by messy and excess faces and corners. I want to create a place with a pure form, which it could not be easily out of fashion because it does not follow the trend at the very beginning. The other important points in this project are materials and colors. I would like to reduce colors and materials to get a refreshing and comfortable feeling in this room. Due to the previous work experiences, I sincerely think that Taiwanese people and designers are used to apply too many kinds of materials and colors in a residential space. I regulated that only white, grey and oak’s basic color can exist in the finishes of the project. Thus this room can embrace wide spectrum of styles of furniture and decorations. In the recommendation of furniture and decorations, I also suggest using blue sofa to be an interesting spotlight in the space and adding a lit bit of yellow as a funny touch. To sum up, I hope this design can help my clients to enjoy the air and the light in the space and not be distracted from unnecessary adornments and style. This air container is a pure volume which is waiting to be filled with living and memory.

The folded and twisted polygons are our observation of hairstylists’ working process.
00 INFORMATION Year - 2015 Area - 330 m², 2 Stories Location - Taipei City, Daan District Main Materials - Teak Veneer, Stainless Steel, Oriented Strand Board, Cement Board Photography - Dean Zheng
01 DESCRIPTION This plan of an excellent hair salon located in downtown of Taipei city, in the middle of a narrow alley posed of numerous genius hairstylist and diligent assistants. This hair salon not only provides its customers high-quality service but also unique aesthetic hair design. Because of a lot of celebrities, actors and singers are their clients; they desired a brand new image and renovation after their 10th anniversary. The primary challenges of this design project are the following two points. First of all, they cannot afford a long suspended business because their clients always have bustling schedules in entertainment and music industries; moreover, they also have an expensive rental rate. The second challenge is to satisfy the designers’ high standard of aesthetics with their tight budget. To achieve the above requirements; Instead of deconstruction of the orignal structure, which cost a lot of money and time, we chose to renew the majority of spatial finishes with new material. After this process, we designed a series of extended polygons to cover the wall and ceiling, which represented hairs and brilliant style they created. Especially the integration of stairs at the entrance and the waiting seats earned a lot of their praise. Those polygons also like furniture that could manufacture at the factory at first, then assembled and installed at the construction site. This method significantly reduced the construction period. We expect this hair salon to bring an unique visual experience; retaining a trendy and enjoyable atmosphere for the guests and worker in this hair salon.

I would like to create a pure space So pure that as if it can embrace owner’s everything.
00 INFORMATION Year - 2016 Area - 305 m² , 1 Story Location - Taipei City, Zhongshan District Main Materials - Marble, Tile, Walnut Veneer, Square Tile Photography - Dean Zheng
This project is a residence which is combined with the two unit of houses; Thus, the layout is a little bit different with other ordinary residences, it has a particular symmetrical arrangement. This condition makes the private area of this house distributes at the two rear side of the space. It is crucial to handle people’s feeling when they are walking through the corridors; nevertheless, this feature also the most exciting part of this case. To correspond with this unusual layout, we regarded “flow direction” as our concept of this case. We thought that everything in this world has it “flow direction,” such as water, light, and air; therefore, we used continuous materials to guide people’s direction and provided a comfortable visual rhythm. Unlike the most of interior design of Taiwanese luxury houses, we did not use many grandiose forms. On the other hand, the delicate details and patterns are the main characteristics of this project; what is more, The modern and concise looking is the essential point of this project. We hoped the neutral tones in the space would be a calm harbor for our clients after an exhausting day. Additionally, the client offered us a great opportunity to recommend foreign furniture and lighting because his company allowed him to import goods by himself from Europe. With this precious chance, I wrote and assisted a dream proposal, which including a lot of ideal furniture, lamps, and suspensions that the normal clients are hardly afforded. The Chemistry reaction between the space and the furniture worked fabulously; they cooperated each other to form an extremely completed design.
