Creamy French potatoes aka potato gratin
INGREDIENTS
4 large potatoes, thinly sliced 480 ml heavy cream
100 g grated cheese (cheddar will do here)
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh herbs (like thyme or parsley) for garnish
DIRECTIONS
Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).

1. In a greased baking dish, arrange half of the sliced potatoes in an even layer.

In a bowl, combine the cream, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Pour half of this mixture over the potatoes.
Evenly sprinkle half of the grated cheese on top.
4. Repeat the layering process with the remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and cheese.
5. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.

6. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.

Allow it to cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs for an extra burst of flavor. Enjoy!
