E X PE R I E NC E NO. 2 Experience the World’s Most Beautiful Religious Festival
Every country has its own religious holiday, but equal that of Sant’Agata, Catania’s patron saint, it is at least an arduous task. A mass mobilization in the city for 3 days and 3 nights in which the faithful gather to celebrate “Aituzza”, bringing the rich to shoulder “fercolo” followed by a procession of Candlemas. Officially, the day dedicated to the patron is February 5, but the celebrations start from 3 and are repeated throughout the year. WHO IS SANT’AGATA? Born in Catania from a rich and noble family, the devoutly religious Agata attracted the passionate interests of the Roman Proconsul Quintianus. Agata refused to be his wife, staunchly defending her honor and her faith. Proconsul’s courtship quickly turned to persecution. After enduring the horrific torture of being rolled on hot coals and having her breasts forcibly removed, Agata died on February 5, 251

1st Day • ARRIVAL Meet-and-greet at Catania Fontanarossa Airport.
Dinner in a typical winery with wine tasting, while the city starts preparing for the grand Festival.
Transfer to the 4* hotel in the city center (6 km) and welcome cocktail.
2nd Day • EXCURSION TO MOUNT ETNA & FIREWORKS IN CATANIA Full day with Team building activities
Our Team building activities for the day include:
Mount Etna is the greatest active volcano in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Etna is in fact 3.329-meter-high and forms the background to practically the whole of the Sicilian landscape, given to the fact that it can be seen at a distance of more than 250 Km.
• classic activities as tug-of-war, playing darts… • trekking with “ciaspole” (typical snowshoes)

After lunch, transfer to Catania. The opening day of the festival ends with amazing fireworks in Piazza Duomo, one of the city’s main square. Self organized dinner.

3rd Day • TAORMINA Full day with Team building activities – distance from Catania about 50 km, 50 mins.– As soon as you arrive in Taormina, you will feel the magical, mythical atmosphere spread all around which has enchanted visitors from all over the world, nowadays is one of the most famous tourism localities. This charming area is situated on hilltop of Monte Tauro. Our Team building activities for the day include: • Treasure Hunting Clues help participants to discover the architecture, culture and traditions of Taormina and Sicily. Walking along Taormina main street, Corso Umberto, and the maze of narrow stair cased streets and small beautiful squares, you will find also Theaters and Gymnasium from the Greek Age, Odeon and Baths from the Roman Age, beautiful buildings in which the Arab and the Norman cultures melt together in a memorable sense of

beauty, traces of the Byzantine domination and beautiful villas which belonged to the European aristocracy in the XVIII and XIX centuries, all in the context of a small town on top of the hill, overlooking the coastline of the Ionian Sea. Lunch in a Trattoria. Dinner in an old millstone – where it is possible to organize a Godfather Show: big screens will show movie clips from the celebrated 70s cult movie trilogy Godfather, while a surround audio system will play music from the original soundtracks. Godfather show includes a professional master of ceremonies, stage, exclusive performances and artists (more than 20 actors), ensuring a really unforgettable show.
