Page 1 Cutting Instructions Please note: all strips are cut across the width of fabric (WOF) from selvage to selvage edge unless otherwise noted. From the Motorcycle Panel - Blue (A): • Fussy cut (1) 23” x 41 ½” strip, centered on the motorcycle. From the Splash - Night (B), cut: • (3) 4” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end, with diagonal seams, and cut (2) 4” x 47 ½” strips. • (2) 3 ½” x 23” WOF strips. From the Route 66 Landmarks - Tan (C), cut: • (1) 12 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut strip into (3) 6 ½” x 12 ½” strips. From the Vintage Cars - White (D), cut: • (1) 6 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut strip into (4) 6 ½” x 8 ½” strips. From the Motorcycles - Grey (E), cut: • (1) 6 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut strip into (4) 6 ½” x 8 ½” strips. From the Route 66 Signs - Tan (F), cut: • (1) 12 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut strip into (3) 6 ½” x 12 ½” strips. From the Route 66 Landmarks - Black (G), cut: • (2) 6 ½” x 64 ½” strips from the length of fabric (LOF). • (4) 6 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end, with diagonal seams, and cut (2) 6 ½” x 62 ½” strips. From the Splash - Cardinal (H), cut: • (4) 2 ½” x WOF strips. • (2) 2 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut strips into (18) 2 ½” squares. • (7) 2 ½” x WOF strips for the binding. From the Fusion Illusion - Night (I), cut: • (4) 2 ½” x WOF strips. • (2) 2 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut strips into (18) 2 ½” squares. From the Fusion Illusion - Latte (J), cut: • (4) 2 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end, with diagonal seams, and cut (2) 2 ½” x 60 ½” strips. • (3) 2 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end, with diagonal seams, and cut (2) 2 ½” x 50 ½” strips. From the Vintage Cars - Black (Backing), cut: • (2) 70” x WOF strips for the backing. Sew the strips together and trim to make the 70” x 84” back.

Sewing Instructions 1. Sew (1) 3 ½” x 23” Fabric B strip to each side of the 41 ½” x 23” Fabric A strip. Sew (1) 4” x 47 ½” Fabric B strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric A strip. Trim the block to measure 46 ½” x 28 ½” to make the Center Block (Fig. 1).

6. Sew (1) IHI strip to the top of the Fabric C strip and (1) HIH strip to the bottom of the Fabric C strip. Sew (4) HI strips together end to end, alternating them, to make (1) strip. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew (1) strip to each side of (1) 6 ½” x 12 ½” Fabric C strip to make (1) C-block (Fig. 6). Repeat to make (3) C-blocks total.

13. Sew (1) 6 ½’ x 64 ½” Fabric G strip to each side of the quilt top. Sew a 6 ½” x 62 ½” Fabric G strip to the top and to the bottom of the quilt top. 14. Layer and quilt as desired.

7. Sew (1) IHI strip to the top of the Fabric F strip and (1) HIH strip to the bottom of the Fabric F strip. Sew (4) HI strips together end to end, alternating them, to make (1) strip. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew (1) strip to each side of (1) 6 ½” x 12 ½” Fabric F strip to make (1) F-block (Fig. 7). Repeat to make (3) F-blocks total.

8. Sew (1) 6 ½” x 8 ½” Fabric D strip, (1) 6 ½” x 8 ½” Fabric E strip and (4) HI strips to make (1) DE-block (Fig. 8). Repeat to make (4) DE-blocks total.

3. Cut the HI strip sets into (64) 2 ½” x 4 ½” HI strips (Fig. 3).

15. Sew the (7) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric H strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.

4. Sew (1) 2-1/2” Fabric I square to each side of (1) 2 ½” Fabric H square to make (1) IHI strip (Fig. 4). Repeat to make (6) IHI strips total. 5. Sew (1) 2 ½” Fabric H square to each side of (1) 2 ½” Fabric I square to make (1) HIH strip (Fig. 5). Repeat to make (6) HIH strips total.

10. Sew (2) F-blocks, (2) DE-blocks and (1) C-block together to make Bottom Block.

11. Sew the Top Block, Center Block and Bottom Block together lengthwise to make the quilt top.

Quilt Top Assembly (Refer to the Quilt Layout while assembling.) 9. Sew (2) C-blocks, (2) DE-blocks and (1) F-block together to make Top Block.

12. Sew (1) 2 ½” x 60 ½” Fabric J strip to each side of the quilt top. Sew a 2 ½’ x 50 ½” Fabric J strip to the top and to the bottom of the quilt top.
