Many people die when earthquakes happen, eapecially lots of victims are found inside the building. We try to provide resident a new way to go outside smoothly without barrier.
ISSUE Earthquakes happen frequently all over the world especially in the asia earthquake zone including Taiwan.The disaster always cause many casualties and homeless people.After researching ,we found lots of reason that cause people died during earthquake.but the main reason is ,they are trapped in the building.

BRAINSTORMING & IDEATION During this part ,we made teamwork and used post to do the brainstorming gave each other advice just like world cafe'.
CONCEPT The concept comes from observing the door structure when it was damaged. We use frangible material to make the door easily collapse by itself when an earthquake occur. After the pieces of door broke apart, there is then a clear passage for people to escape.

UNKNOW In the future , more and more people will concern about how they should eat a day,and how much calories they burn. Runknow provide a easy way to make people know about those data and transform it to useful informations.
CONCEPT In the future,people's life will be more and more convenient ,in the meantime it also bring lots healthy problem: getting fat ,less exercising ...and so on. To creat an efficient way to workout ,we have to know about "what we ate today" ,it;s important to combine exercising and diet.
In the future,excrcising is not just for your healthy, it's about making friends,social networks and getting fit.

Most people have no idea about Green Energy, especially for elders. Healthy Direction tries to combine elder's everyday life with green energy. To provide them a healthy life,and make them feel fun and confidience in process.
RESEARCH At start,we choiced a old community in Taichung,Taiwan, to observed elders life and tried to do something for them.

My thesis design is a project tries to represent the texture of nature on lighting design. Not only it can make a special effect for lighting but light can bring a great effect for texture. During the process I casting a lots of concrete models and combine the other material ,just try to find out the way to represent. Here ,is my "Concrete Project".
STARTING Yilan has beautiful nature landscape. and it's also my home town. Therefore I'd like to start my thesis design from observing this beautiful city.

ideation Different materials just like many different landscapes in Yilan. I want to design a lighting which suits now people life .They need a piece of nature in their home during their own time. Wushih is a town which is famous it's harbor.There is a very special kind of rock in this area which called :Black Rock (Black Rock is the same pronunciation as Wushih in Mandarin.)

PROPOSAL
The design concept came from "Black Rock" owned by Wushih Harbor , after the process of sedimentation, metamorphism and the long-term erosion by the sea and sand led to the rocks’ surface of having a plurality of parallel cracks, as well as multi-angular shape.
The waves came, causing seawater to flow in and out of rocks, happening again and again, and the cracks between the rocks are formed. Putting the image of this temporality on the Wushi lights, having the lights symbolize water, flowing in the crack of the light. A hope that after people with a busy day came home, they can own a brief time of having a conversation to themselves.
EXPERIENT
In this process,I start to think "which material should I use for my lighting?" so I start to try casting . It's fun to use the concrete to create or represent the texture of rock I start to open my mind ,not just keep the "Wushih Rock" that's just a starter to remind me to observe the texture of rock I start to observe other rock in Taiwan including Northeast Coast,West Coast and even the cave.
CONSEQUENT Concrete Project is an experimental design. By constantly experimenting the formal relation between concrete and poly, and using the contradiction of light and heavy of the two materials, then reappear the texture of rock to the light, in order to bring out an interesting and unique effect of lighting.
