Oct 17th 2015 in Times Square these are the yells and screams that came from Sgt. Shamar Thomas, a decorated U.S. Marine. Having served in Iraq and Afghanistan Sgt.Thomas was enraged over the NYPD’s police presence and excessive force with no utter of showing any kind of respect to New York citizens during the financial sector protest about Wall Street bankers.

Caught on video and posted on YouTube we can all see the events unfold in front of us as it only took only 1 Marine to shut down the 30 plus NYPD dressed in riot gear. He sent a very clear, loud and serious message that this treatment on unprotected U.S civilians will not be tolerated, especially while he is on watch. At the time of the incident the anger from Sgt.Thomas is so raw you feel as if he is on the line of even being arrested himself but it’s the contrary the police are filmed by numerous cell phone onlookers and Sgt Thomas is applauded and hailed an instant hero by the people after pushing the NYPD back.

This is finally what the people needed someone they could trust and that would not back down it’s as if Sgt. Thomas was sent from above.

Music is lost but not talent nor our culture of where our music comes from and this is where Alan Prater is at with music today. He has played with the biggest artists and toured around the world with such greats as Cameo, Millie Jackson and even MJ, yes Michael Jackson and The Jacksons.

He’s able to work on recording multiple projects for himself and be apart of the band The Brooks at the same time. Alan truly knows how to create different musical energies. Alan is scared he is part of the last soul soldiers representing the end of real musicians that truly bring the sound of soul, funk and honors the greats that have laid down the guidelines of great music.. DJ Fabian “Kickin”Ashe has played for more Black crowds, ladies nights and ballers than others in Montreal. Most DJ’S spinning Soul, R&B, Hip Hop and House can thank Fabian for pioneering their platform to play Black music in MTL today. From the mix is where it all starts with Fabian. Known for his supreme quality in mixing and being the smoothest blender he’s got that touch to bring two records together like no one other. It is his DJ signature, skill and his experience that separates him from other DJ'S spinning the same genres of music. Fabian is the Holiday favorite and the consistent New Years DJ here in Montreal for the Black market. Fabian is a legend, he brought house to Montreal and now he has moved back over to House music. This is his own choice like alot of Soul, R&B and Hip Hop DJ’s. This is where the money and future is at for serious DJ’s. Santa Claus is derived from the Dutch figure of Sinterklaas, whose name is a pronunciation of Saint

Nicholas. The name Santa Claus evolved from Nick’s Dutch nickname, Sinter Klaas, a shortened form of Sint Nikolaas (Dutch for Saint Nicholas). Santa Claus back then was first pictured a thick-bellied Dutch sailor with a long pipe and a green winter coat. However going back in time, here’s how some of Santa’s history goes.

1773 Sinterklaas was first Americanized into the American press as “Santa Claus”. 1822 Clement Clarke Moore wrote “A Visit from St. Nicholas” better known today as “T’was the night before Christmas”. This is the start of Santa Claus’s story with his Christmas Eve gift giving journey visiting kids.

1863 Thomas Nast drew a picture of Santa that immortalized in the January 3rd issue of “Harper’s Weekly”. Santa was wrapped in an American flag; this was his first viral pic.

1889 The idea of Mrs. Claus, a wife for Santa Claus starts along with The North Pole. 1890 Department store owner James Edgar starts the tradition of Santa Claus appearing in his Brockton, Massachusetts Department store.

1902 L. Frank Baum’s releases the book, The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus”. It’s the Christmas children’s book where the 10 reindeer story starts for us.

1931 An advertising agent for Coca Cola named Haddon Hubbard Sundblom is inspired by the Clement Moore story and brings Santa alive with Coke ads. Yes Coca Cola becomes partially credited for creating the modern day image of Santa Claus by promoting its red & white colors, smart.

1940 -1950 ’s more Christmas carols like Jingle bells, White Christmas, Rudolph The red nosed reindeer animation plus many TV specials made Santa Claus a huge hit.

Today the Santa Claus brand and all its many marketing lanes can’t be stopped; Christmas is the biggest commercial shopping season in the world. Is the Earth Flat or Not??? by Spark

Contrary to what we’ve been taught in classes for over 500 years, the world might not be a round, spinning globe. Instead, millions of people are sharing their “Flat Earth” true beliefs, thoughts and research that the Earth is in fact truly flat. If true, would this bring a different perceptive to our reality, or would we even care? To begin, how much do we know about our Earth? According to NASA, The Blue Marble, (Earth) was the very first and famous photograph of the Earth and was taken on December 7, 1972 by the crew of the Apollo 17 space crew. Flat earth believers stop right there. They don’t believe any of the Apollo 17 space pictures of Earth to be real. When our staff tried Googling Earth, it didn’t seem to be any real pictures of earth. All we’ve seen were animations drawings or composite images but nothing we would say was real. However digging deeper into the Blue marble an image of the Earth taken from the VIIRS instrument aboard NASA's Earth-observing research satellite, Suomi NPP quote “This composite image uses a number of swaths of the Earth's surface taken on 4 January 2012”. This clearly says this Blue Marble picture is only a composite picture. Flat Earth believers say all earth pictures are nothing more than created images and there are no real photos of our Earth. Here are 10 Flat Earth arguments: 1. As far as the eye can see, the Earth’s horizon is always perfectly straight or otherwise flat. 2. Our sky feels

as if it moves around and on top of us. 3. The Earth doesn’t feel as if it’s spinning. 4. Flights fly very unusual flight paths over the south Atlantic oceans. 5. Our map land masses are all depicted wrong on our atlas maps, they themselves, state it on the map legends. 6. The sun rises and sets and appears to move away and go down behind a straight wall, however flat earth believers say it just moves beyond our horizon and past our line of sight, never rising or setting. 7. Flat Earth believers state no matter what location or altitude, our horizon will never show us curvature, look out your window while you’re flying. 8. Man landing on the moon, rovers going to mars, 2,723 satellites orbiting earth, space debris, shuttle missions, space stations and all the galaxy claims are all hoax’s created by NASA to make us believe we can travel in space. 9. The Flat Earth movement is gaining massive rotation possibly spinning faster than the Earth's supposed rotation speed of 1,000 miles per hour. 10. The U.N uses the Flat earth map as their logo so why not? But still the question remains, is The Earth Flat or Not?

Cite Soleil, Haiti is one of the poorest and roughest part of Haiti and dirt is on the menu. In 2016 Haitian kids, men, women and young children prepare, make and eat the so called cookies made from dirt, with sometimes nothing more than some kind of shortening and salt. The dirt cookies, is cooked out in the sun on the ground, just feet away from dirty water polluted with humans and animal sewage. The cookies are fed to the community, as food with no nutritional value. The habitants, seem immune to even eating dirt, it’s unbelievable to watch but it’s unfortunately true. Dirt cookies are being served in Haiti every day. Government officials in Haiti know about this and say they are working to improve the nutrition in Haiti. Yet nothing has happened to stop this or better this situation. Surely with all the money from all the charities to feed Haiti, there’s no reason why people should be reduced to have to eat dirt. Maybe it’s time to send a few dirt cookies and a glass of milk to some key government officials in Haiti to enjoy for dessert after eating their fine food dinner. If we can trust and allow ourselves to be guided by the omnipresent Creator, the power outside of ourselves, as well the power inside us will enable our power to Be-well. If we spend more time with ourselves, integrate all of our being where our inner voice and innate wisdom resides, we can return into wholeness to be well, feel well, and live well. On the journey to living and being well, be present in your wellness process of being physically, mentally, emotionally, socially and spiritually... uniquely you.
