The 2023 4-H Canada Science Fair saw an impressive group of youth members showcase their skills in STEM, while exploring their personal passions through experimentation, innovation, and invention.

Following an initial virtual judging round in January 2023, finalists were invited forward to the second round in March which was once again held in-person, after being held virtually since 2020.

Highlights:

• Seven 4-H members presented six projects

• Six judges from a number of locations and industries

• Four finalists advanced to the Canada-Wide Science Fair in Edmonton, AB.

• One finalist (Mac D.) took home two awards from the Canada-Wide Science Fair

• 100% of participants indicated their school does not offer an annual science fair

• 100% of participants plan to pursue a career in agriculture, and felt their involvement in the 4-H Canada Science Fair helped advance their career goals.
