Tube World, located in Maggie Valley across from Ghost Town in the Sky, is the home of great snow tubing fun each winter! Their groomed slope is made for riding specially designed inner tubes. You ride their moving carpet lift to the top of the hill, then tube your way down the snow-covered run. Fun for the whole family!

Haywood Ice Fest 2025

January 30 – February 2, 2025

All are invited to an enchanting winter wonderland at the expanding Ice Fest Weekend in Haywood County, NC, from January 30 to February 2, 2025! This year, the event extends to four days, featuring a newly added Cool Jazz concert at HART Theatre and a Chill Zone at the Visit Haywood Ice Stroll in Downtown Waynesville, promising an even more magical experience.

4th Annual Chili Cook Off Stroll

February 15, 2025

Cast your vote in the 4th Annual Chili Cook Off Stroll! Follow this interactive event's trail comprised of 50 chilis throughout Waynesville businesses. Grab a $5 wristband and let your taste buds decide the People’s Choice winner, and don't miss a photo op with the Chili Mascot! Official judges will also award the best in Restaurant and Merchant categories, earning them a year's worth of bragging rights. Cold Mountain Tubing will provide a shuttle service between participating businesses. This event by the Waynesville Rotary Club promises a day of interactive (and tasty) fun for the whole family!

Uncorked Wine Train

March 1, 2025

Passengers will enjoy a full service all-adult First-Class ride with a private attendant and plush, well-appointed dining seating. A narrator will accompany the ride to present each pour to guests and share knowledge and history of the wines selected. Passengers on this specialty car will enjoy an exclusive sampling of cheeses and a surf and turf meal prepared fresh. We have carefully selected our wine samples to accompany the meal. All passengers will receive a GSMR souvenir stemless wine glass, four samples of selected wine, and a dessert that’s perfect for the season!
