BH ready to conquer in France with the Arkéa-Samsic
2019 is the year BH bicycles will conquer all in the professional road cycling
calendar. Its union with Arkéa-Samsic guarantees the team’s BH Ultralight EVO and BH G7 Pro will rank well this season.
They’re building on 2018’s showing in the high mountains with Warren Barguil,
who’s back with the team this season. Now they will also do so in the fastest starts, most furious sprints and tightest stage finishes.
The signing of the German Andre Greipel represents a huge leap in quality for the team Arkéa-Samsic. They’ll soon see how he joins the fight for the many victories that are decided in big sprints.
The official presentation of the team was made back in January before more than
700 guests. The team’s elegant new team jersey design also debuted, dominated by the colour white and BH branding.
The main objective of the team will be to repeat their record in the Tour de France.
The ArkĂŠa-Samsic team is part of French road cycling history, starting a quarter
of a century ago in 1994. In 2019 it will have field 21 riders, with a strong showing for French cyclists as well as two new signings (Andre Greipel and also German Robert Wagner ) plus the arrival of a new professional talent, the young Alan Riou .
The opportunity to shine at key moments of the year will be shared by Warren Barguil and Andre Greipel.
The Frenchman was 2nd in the classification of the mountain of last year’s Tour
de France and is a double stage winner in both the Tour de France and the Tour
of Spain. He is scheduled to debut in the Challenge of Mallorca . He is a born stage hunter and a fighting man who always shines through on the toughest days. Andre Greipel opens a world of possibilities for the Arkéa-Samsic group. With him, Arkéa-Samsic will adopt a new role on days that, until now, were less significant for the team. The arrival of the German will provide new motivations and a fresh tactical approach.
In 2018 he achieved nine victories and thirty top-10 places in stages and races around the world. Last year he specialized in winning stages “in pairs” . He managed to win two stages in each of these events: in the Santos Tour Down
Under, in the 4 Days of Dunkirk, the Baloise Belgium Tour and the Ovo Energy Tour of Britain.
As usual, the Arkéa-Samsic focused on fine-tuning the new team and add the first kilometers of the year. The BH Ultralight EVO and BH G7 Pro are ready for another intense year in the world cycling elite.
