Last year was an amazing year for the Turner Carroll Gallery, but the highlights of 2013 were the three consecutive museum shows exploring the career and life of Hung Liu. Her first exhibition showcased early installation pieces compiled at Mills College in Northern California. The second and most important show at the Oakland Museum of California was her retrospective exploring a complete overview of important paintings from her time as a teenager in China to the present. The third exhibition took place at the San Jose Museum of Art, which included new paintings, the permanent installment of a beautiful new mural, and a performance art piece that drew large crowds. The works in this catalogue represent the diversity of Hung Liu's amazing abilities and imagery. Turner Carroll is pleased to offer these works to enhance current or new collections. We look forward to hearing your thoughts or questions. Best to you in 2014! -Stephen and Natalie
