New Season Starts On New Tires

t sure doesn’t seem like almost four months ago we closed out the 2010 season with the most thrilling Snowball Derby to date. A hometown driver, a “GIRL”, a teenager, Johanna Long broke all kinds of records by winning the biggest independent short track race in America. And hats off to the staff here at Five Flags Speedway for all the National Awards won over the winter. By the way; National Speed Sport News voted the 43rd annual Snowball Derby as “The Best Annual Short Track Event of the Year”. Who would ever think the 2010 season could be topped?

Oklahoma’s Donny Wilson. He is coming off of second place finishes in the Snowball Derby and the Rattler 250 in Opp, Al. He’s overdue. Chase Elliott last year’s Series winner is at a NASCAR event this weekend. Look out for Johanna.
e begin our season as the Nation and the US Navy celebrates 100 years of aviation in Pensacola. Get ready because 2011 looks to be even better as some tweaks and adjustments have been made. Our goal is to speed up the program and have you home earlier. We welcome Buddy’s Home Furnishings as the Blizzard Series sponsor for the year.

y witnessing the car count at the first two Super and Pro Late Model events at Lanier Raceway (Ga) and South Alabama Speedway (Al) it certainly appears that racing is alive and healthy for 2011. We expect a strong field of cars tonight with drivers such as Chris Davidson, Augie Grill, Bubba Pollard and Wayne Niedecken. If I had to bet on a winner right now, I would have to go with DW...
