o far it seems to be working in everyone’s favor. The fan base, car counts and atmosphere has really stepped up and the racing speaks for itself. Never can I remember as many close finishes as we’ve had this year in all classes.
ven Hunter Robbins (AL) startElening last and winning the AlTurner Elantra for the Pro Late Models at our last race. The caliber of drivers in that race looked like a “Snowflake 100” field. Also congratulations to Brandon Bendele (TX) along with Dewayne Buggay (GA) on finally getting a good finish at Five Flags as they finished second and third respectfully.

Look At The Trends Ok, let’s look at the statistics so far this year. Four of the 6 series leaders have black as the dominant color of their car. The other 2 are red. Numbers can be important too! One third of the leaders have 7 splashed on their door. Another third have 18, and the last two have the same number twice. WOW. So what does all this analysis mean? If you are running up front at the end of the race, didn’t crash, have a flat, had something in the car break or other bad luck, you will get the most points. Then you will have to pass tech inspection. Got that done, you will go home with the winners trophy and check. If that doesn’t work, get your car painted black and red, number it 7, 18, or even better 77. Stay on the track, speed up, turn left, and be the first to see the checkers. Ya still gotta pass inspection.
Country Artist Visits 5 Flags Nashville recording artist Colt Ford dropped in at the last race to give the “Start your Engines” command. Ford was performing later that night at the LIVE night club in Ensley. Colt is being interviewed by Derek “Kane” Long. old photo gallery 1 Hauler; 2 cars hauled Years ago, before the big rig haulers were invented, most drivers pulled one race car to the track on an open trailer. This 1968 photo showed a unique way to make the trip. Driver Claude Miller drove a U-HAUL transporter, and likely had a second car on a trailer. PS, he was a U-HAUL dealer.
