They really put on a great show for the fans last year and we expect no less this year. That’s why we booked them twice in 2014.

“Where Racers Begin”

By Chuck Corder Some people treat the past as a dead-end street. But Five Flags Speedway embraces its history like a casual Sunday drive through the country. It’s why for the second straight year, the track is ecstatic to welcome back tonight the 1932 and ’34 Ford and Chevy open-wheeled coupes and trucks from the Southern Vintage Racing Association. The association has already grown leaps and bounds since we last saw them in September, but the drivers that wheel these vintage rides always treat Pensacola’s high banks as sacred ground. Read Chuck’s entire story at: www.5flagsspeedway.com

And their return tonight is a chance for you fans, young and a little less young alike, to harken back to yesteryear and what racing looked like a halfcentury ago. And the door-to-door action doesn’t stop with the vintage vehicles tonight. The Pro Trucks, Home Depot Modifieds, Beef “O” Brady’s Sportsmen and Butler U-Pull-It Bombers pick up where they left off in their respective seasons.
