Welcome
Tomahawk welcomes you
In challenging times, the true beauty of a small closeknit community with unparalleled natural resources and strong like-minded businesses and organizations becomes glaringly clear.
The Tomahawk region has pulled together in the past year to offer each other, our seasonal homeowners, visitors and new residents a respite from the world. It goes without saying that ‘social distancing’ in the great outdoors of the Northwoods is one of the great assets our area offers. In 2020, our office sent out more visitor guides, more trail maps, and more information about outdoor recreation in our area than ever before. We saw more inquiries from people looking to make the area their permanent home than ever before. We have had several businesses readjust and refocus their efforts to both survive the new landscape and/or help others do the same. Things changed because they had to, but in Tomahawk, we welcome change. It hasn’t been easy, and it is not getting easier, but watching this strong community adapt is one of the reasons so many love it here. It is nearly impossible to put together a calendar of events for 2021, as many of our businesses struggled to share their hours, which have often been modified during the ongoing pandemic. Even this guide had to be slightly adjusted in a world of these uncertainties.
We encourage you to be patient, be kind, and don’t hesitate to call ahead. We work every day to keep our website current and accurate at www.gototomahawk. com. We are doing our best to keep up on changes within our business community. The Tomahawk Region is still going strong and only getting stronger. Thank you for considering visiting and perhaps someday even calling us home!
