Oconto Falls Goes All Out for Memorial Weekend

OCONTO FALLS - Oconto Falls welcomes the start of summer with a four-day celebration over the long Memorial Day weekend.

Most everything will take place on Memorial Field off Jefferson Street. Kids of all ages will enjoy the carnival, which starts Friday, May 26 and goes through Monday, May 29

Scheduled for all four days is a modified pitch softball tournament. Food and refreshments provided by the Oconto Falls Lions Club & Oconto Falls High School Future Farmers of America will keep the taste buds and tummy well satisfied throughout the four days.

The “Dash O.F. Color” 5k Run/Walk organized by the Oconto Falls Lioness Club, is set for 9 a.m., Saturday. Live music featuring “308” can be enjoyed from 7-11 p.m. Saturday. Fireworks will light up the sky Saturday night (rain date is Sunday night). They are lit over the football field.

Sunday brings the Show-N-Shine Car & Truck Show, featuring cars, trucks, motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs and tractors. Music, beverages, door prizes and 50/50 raffles are being offered by the Oconto Falls Sno Jokers. There’s also a beanbag tournament Sunday.

The Memorial Day services on Monday will be held at the Oconto Falls Veteran’s Memorial (Farm Road) at 10 a.m. Then the parade units will step off at 12:30 p.m., starting in the downtown and ending up at Memorial Field. The parade theme is “Everything Wisconsin”.
