Show off your Stripes in Florence County

FLORENCE - The Zebra theme is strong in Florence County! Be a part of the pack and participate in the Run Like a Zebra - Run, Walk or Roll for Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome 1k and 5k Race on Saturday, May 20. The in-person race begins at 10 a.m. at the Florence Community Center located at 749 Central Avenue. Register online for the in-person race or the virtual race at runlikeazebra.com. Registration for the un-timed 1k fun-run race includes a medal and race bib. The 5k in-person and virtual race registration comes with a t-shirt, medal and race bib. The 5k in-person race is timed. The overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will be announced for each age division

After the race, dust off your hooves and join in on the Zebra Family Fun Fest! Starting at 11:30 a.m. kids ages 2-15 can head into the Encore Ballroom for a Ninja Warrior Obstacle Course and Bounce House. The course features a 40-foot bounce area, gymnastics and ninja warrior equipment such as ramps, vaults, bars and more. Additional kid’s games for children ages 5-15 are offered from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m.

Adults also have the opportunity to have some roaring good fun with the cornhole tournament, raffle baskets, 50/50 raffles, live music and refreshments. Childcare and parking available. For more information, go to exploreflorencecounty.com.
