Rip It Up At The Rasta Rally

RHINELANDERJoin the Rhinelander Area Silent Trails Association (RASTA) hosted spring mountain bike race and celebration for all ages! This family friendly - all day event - takes place on Sunday, May 14 at Washburn Silent Sports Trails, a premier mountain bike destination just west of Rhinelander.

Washburn Trails cover 13 miles of professionally designed and built singletrack mountain bike trails and a new pump track (so much fun!). The trails are designed to accommodate all skill levels, with most of the flow trails and jump lines located near the trailhead, while the more technical “old school” hand-built trails and rock gardens are furthest from the shelter.

Come feel the air on your face, check out the trails and support RASTA as they work to improve these trails and others in the area, providing recreation to all! Gather at 9:30 a.m. with family, friends or plan on making new friends, as bikers of all ages gather for this early season race! Whether you are new to the sport or an experienced racer there will be a course for you.

There will be two races to choose from. The shorter course is suitable for beginner and intermediate riders and will consist of single-track and two-track trails. It will take 45 minutes to an hour to complete, depending on the rider’s skill level. The longer course will use all of Washburn Trail System’s single-track including old-school, new-school, flow, and some two-track for a thrilling race of approximately 12 miles that will take about 1.5 hours to complete. Let’s not forget about the kiddos as a short course race for kids will take place after the main events. Exact courses and distances will be determined a week prior to race date. For course and other race information, join the RASTA Facebook page or check out rastatrails.com.
