Remember the Past at the Classic Sled Roundup

ST. GERMAIN - Mark your calendars for the Classic Sled Roundup, presented by Livingston’s Artic Cat of Hillsboro, NH. This 18th annual event is happening on Saturday and Sunday, May 27 & 28.

Plan to attend the annual cookout on Saturday, May 27th at the Snowmobile Hall of Fame & Museum, 1246 Sled World Blvd., just west of St. Germain on Highway 70. The Hall of Fame event starts at 3 p.m. and features the largest collection of historically significant snowmobiles.

There are many championship sleds from the oval track, drag strip, cross country, water cross, enduro, and hill climbs. There are also historically significant prototypes, consumer machines, memorabilia, photographs, one-of-a-kind pieces and more!

The Classic Sled Round Up will be held on Sunday, May 28th from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the St. Germain Town Park. Event Chairman, Jon Bertolino says, “Do you love snowmobiling? Do you want to relive your snowmobiling youth? Enjoy the past and will be available for the public due to liability concerns).

Plan to enjoy a shore-lunch fish fry and boat parade. As an added bonus, the partnering Minocqua Lions Club will bring in top-rated performers for 2 days of musical entertainment. The Minocqua Lions will also be providing food and beverages both days. The event will raise money for local charitable organizations. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the show. Torpy Park is located near downtown Minocqua at 806 US Hwy 51. Parking, playground equipment and restrooms are available. This event will feature vintage snowmobile displays and one of the best swap meets in the Midwest. Whether you need parts for a running sled or for a complete restoration, this is the place to shop. You can even purchase a finished sled! For sellers, swap spaces are $20 for a truck and two-place trailer, $30 for a truck and four-place trailer and $40 for larger rigs at the discretion of the Hall of Fame.

All brands are welcomed to enter the judged show in categories of antique, vintage, and classic sleds. Open registration will begin at 7 a.m. on Sunday morning, and judging will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The awards will be presented at 3 p.m. along with drawing for the winning raffle ticket for the beautiful 1980 Polaris Indy 340 TXL.

Fishing with the Stars

ST. GERMAIN - The St. Germain Chamber is excited to host their 7th Annual Fishing with the Stars open water fishing tournament happening on Saturday, May 20th from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

All anglers will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a day fishing and filming with Fishing Legends. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners from the Saturday Tournament will win additional chances to win the raffle drawing. Three lucky names will be chosen to spend a day on the water Fishing with the Stars on Sunday, May 21st on an area lake.

Registration fees are $55 for an Angler Fee which covers 2 anglers per boat. $35 for a Youth Fee for ages 14 and under. $145 for a Family Pack which includes 2 adults and 2 youth. Learn more and register online at st-germain.com.
