The Event The Little League Championship is an annual tournament where top little league teams from across Canada come to compete for the chance to represent their country in Williamsport Pennsylvania at the Little League World Series.
History The storied tournament has been held since 1958 creating memories and impressions that motivate, inspire, and last for a life time. LLC alumni are now returning with their sons and daughters to share the moments they’ve had with each new generation of ball players. Over the last 20 years British Columbia has seen great success at the tournament having won ten out of the last twenty championships, including their current six-year undefeated streak. The local boys’ and girls’ success is a shining example of the strength of BC’s provincial sporting programs and the depth of support they receive from corporate sponsors, volunteers, and the community at large.
Event Dates August 6th—14th, 2011 The championship game and award ceremony will take place on August 14th. The tournament is in round-robin format in the first round, followed by single-elimination knockout, with three games scheduled per day until the final weekend. Event Hosts District 5 Little League of BC, and its seven affilaited North Shore Leagues, are the tournament hosts.

2011 Little League Championships
Participants 100+ Players and Coaches 6 teams of 12-14 players with two to three coaches per team from the regions Atlantic, Quebec, Ontario, Prairies, BC and a tournament host team. 2,000+ fans for the championship game, 400-600 for individual round-robin games 100 event volunteers 5,000 park entries over the 10-day tournament period
Location Vancouver’s North Shore is home to nearly 170,000 residents, many of whom have chosen the area for its incredible water, mountain and outdoor recreation. The 2011 tournament is being jointly hosted by seven leagues that make up District 5 Little League
