INTRODUCTION I am Chih-Ti Lee, and I currently live in Taoyuan City, Taiwan. I am a student from the Department of Product Design at Ming Chuan University. I prefer to travel around in my leisure time. I always get surprised every time when I shuttle around in alleys, finding a second-hand bookstore or little shops with full ranges of ornaments. Even a street-side stand can give me a fresh feeling of finding treasures. I think this is proof that I have an adventurous personality. I also like several kinds of water sports, such as mountain climbing to see waterfalls, swimming, snorkeling, or even scuba diving, as I enjoy relaxing and getting new ideas while doing these activities. For design, I always feel excited by all kinds of creative ideas. For me, design serves to reflect people’s needs, both mentally and physically. Any kind of design has its own value to exist, and most can reflect the designer’s or appreciator's’ thinking. Creative design are able to give a new definition for the design.

SMART SCALE Makes your baking delighted all the time
Smart scale is an intelligent scale device, to make cooking or baking more efficient. As long as we set up the measurement for grams, it will control the required grams automatically in the process. Once the measured grams reach the set amount , it will seal the bags on the machine tightly. People do not need to worry about controlling the quantity while cooking or baking anymore.

BACKGROUND : When using a traditional scale, it is necessary to repeat the same action, putting in our taking out ingredients in order to get the correct grams to cook, especially for powdered objects. The traditional scale thus requires more time to make desserts since it does not have an automatic measurement function.

BANDING DUSTPAN Let cleaning become more easily
While using dustpan to put garbage in to the bin, we always easily through garbage out due to different angle while putting garbage out. The new bending dustpan design makes the garbage been centered in one side and will not been put out while turns the dustpan in different angles. The circular design makes clean works more efficiently.
BACKGROUND : While using traditional dustpan, it is only able to collect trash inside but does not concern about user habit, when they use it, they will rotate dustpan angles and therefore makes trash or dust sprinkle. Upon the above disadvantage of traditional dustpan, it makes the clean works take longer time.
CNCEPT :
CNCEPT : Use the circular design of dustpan will perfectly centered garbage inside, the dust orgarbage will not be spill out by turning different angles. Moreover, it helps to avoid hurting wrist by turning the dustpan.

SHARK ATTACK P r o t e ct y ou and let y ou p lay safely
When engaged in maritime activities, safety comes first. But in recent years, sharks have been showing up frequently at the seaside. This shark attack design will thus combine with the coast guard line and shark detector to reduce the risk of swimmers being attacked and thus ensuring their safety while surfing or swimming. Using hydraulic turbines to generate power, this device uses sonar to detect when sharks enter swimming areas. It then emits an audio signal to deter sharks, and a rubber balloon is automatically inflated, warning swimmers to go ashore as soon as possible. It will also send a signal to inform the lifeguard.
BACKGROUND : When engaged in maritime activities, safety comes first. But in recent years, sharks have been showing up frequently at the seaside. This problem cannot be ignored, as it is still one of the factors causing water casualties. Therefore, in order to improve safety and prevent attacks, the shark attack design concept has been created.
CNCEPT : When the product’s sonar detects a creature shaped like a shark, it will release a warning, launching aballoonto warn visitors and give lifeguards time to do emergency evacuation. It will also transmit data to the visitor centre for emergency incident management.

HOW IT WORKS ? As coastal warning line, to prevent swimmers out of scope and issue the voice which shark doesn’t like to prevent shark close to people. When a shark gets close to the swimming area, a warning balloon will immediately float as a visual warning to ensure people leave the area as soon as possible.
In addition to the balloon warning, the device will send a warning message to the visitor centre, giving lifeguards time to take contingency measures.

FOLD STEBLES Easy to pull out the stable
Traditional methods to remove staples aredifficult, and an assistive device could therefore be useful. Removing staples by hand is time-consuming and laborious. The design of FOLD STAPLES changes the previous way to remove staples.To design an easy break in the midline of staples, force a wrench, then you can easily make the staples divided into two parts. Then, move the divided staples into two halves and push to two sides, this can be easily removed staples now. No need to have trouble while going to pulling needle out without tools. The function enhances the working quality and efficiency.
BACKGROUND : People often need to remove staples at an office, for example, when making copies or scanning documents. Yet it always takes time to remove staples by hand, and there are no useful tools to make this task easier

The traditional design of a drip stand is mainly to allow for freedom of movement, but for elderly or disabled people living in the ward, the traditional drip stand can make it difficult for them to access and use restrooms. The steps at the threshold of restrooms serve as a barrier to traditional drip stands. Users therefore need to ask for help from others. The new design,“c-walk”, can solve this problem. It changes the wheel design so it can easily cross the threshold to the restrooms. In other words, the“c-walk”can serve as a crutch for elderly or disabled people.

HOW IT WORK ? When wheels meet resistance, in addition to users’ forward thrust, it forces the wheel to be raised 45 degrees upward; then the internal mechanism of the wheel will automatically help you rotate the two wheels landing, making it simple to cross obstacles.
HOW IT WORK ? 360 degree rotation will make progress, and when walking the wheels can move in the same direction.
“It is going to rain when the turtle comes out of the water”. In ancient times, people said that when a turtle comes out from the water it means that heavy rains will fall, followed by a big harvest year. As a conceptual extension, I designed a “water coming out” sauce plate, which represents the notion that users will have an abundance of food. BACKGROUND : In China, the turtle is the symbol of longevity and blessing. “It is going to rain when turtles come out of water� also means there will be a big harvest after a heavy rain. Hence, I used this complete image of food in a soy sauce plate. I hope to suggest that users will have the blessing of an abundance of foods every year.

Using the sauce to reduce contents, the turtle shell relief will gradually appear, which is the same meaning as a turtle slowly surfacing and bringing auspicious blessings.
