First Prize The Best Overall Shape - garment construction 2015 TW First Prize The Best Creative - garment construction 2015 TW

Innovative style combining mandarin collar and dang-jeogori (traditional korean clothes) on the upper garment and the pleated skirts to balance the black upper and white lower, accompanied by offset printing the proprietary designed white Japanese Ukiyo-e style patterns on the black garment, making the overall modeling more appealing. Moreover, the combination of simple structure line on the upper garment and the complex pleated skirt signaled a cold hands, warm heart personality.

Between the rocks and the sea

The sea water shaped the rock, making it has numerous appearances, just like how clothing,

fashion did to human. Through the arrangement of different trim, fabric, and color, we could create hundreds of thousand possibilities.

Conceptualized from the patterns on the seashore rocks, which have irregular curves and the sense of multiple levels. Plus the elements from the quavering sea. The earth tone color and sea blue made a complimentary color scheme, making the rock and the sea both well highlighted.

Redefine Retro

A dd traditional festival elements into contemporary fashion. Alter the dull festival clothing stereotyp. Extract the beauty of historical humanism, even bricks and stones, and then build into fashion design.

Spring Add eastern architectural elements including red roof tiles, brick walls, and couplets into pattern and printing design.

Dragon Boat Inspired by Tsung-Tzi, the sticky rice dumpling, one of the most important symbol of the festival.

Accordion pleats were adopted to demonstrate the the patterns on Tsung-Tzi, and fiber pattern made it more vivid.

Lantern Use elements from symbolic handheld lantern and sky lantern into the design.

Moon Wu-Kang, who logged the cinnamon, is a well-known character associated with the legend of Mid-Autumn Festival. Furs, minimalism were added into the design.

USC Fashion Design Competition 2015 TW - The Best Printing

2016 S/S Topic :【surreallusion】 L'Illusion surréaliste d'un poisson tropical Combined Chinese pattern design and surrealism printing. Differentiated from the stereotyped red gold tone in traditional Chinese clothing.

The mixture of eastern and western elements demonstrated strong sense of postmodernism.

The thought behind is, the beautiful tropical fish and the splendid men-made aquarium indicated that it just like an animal who lost its freedom and got locked in the cage. The beauty is but skin deep.

Human beings are just pretending everything is wonderful by decorating beautiful things.

However, it’s more or less just a ecstasy illusion.
