Anchorage Youth Hiking & Expedition Club Into the Woods Alaska is offering hiking, camping and expedition programs for youth ages 12-18. Daily hiking trips will offer workshops for youth to gain new backcountry skill sets, while camping/expedition trips will guide youth toward self-sufficiency and a set of wilderness safety skills that will last a lifetime. For camping, we will provide each kid with their own bivvy sack, making it easy to social distance and have privacy, while keeping the bugs out. We will plan the logistics, food and supplies needed for our trips, but these trips will be all about getting kids to do things for themselves. Ballet Story Camp: Cinderella An enchanted week awaits your child! Sunderland Ranch Horse Adventure Camp Our trail riding-based horse camp teaches a variety of horsemanship skills, arena play and trail rides to gain skill and confidence on horse back. Using balance, energy and design, build large scale moving sculptures that twirl in the breeze or ball machines that seem to defy gravity. Girdwood Arts Camp The Girdwood Fine Arts Camp fosters natural artistic talents by giving young artists instruction in the crafts and techniques of the fine arts. Arts Camp serves children age 5 through late teens. There are two sessions for the youngest campers Primary, ages 5-8: morning and afternoon. Students closely collaborate with professional artists who are chosen to teach at Arts Camp for their ability to teach and inspire. The finest art materials are provided. Arts Camp is held for two weeks at the end of the summer in the spectacular natural setting of Girdwood Valley.
