Dr. Mindy Goorchenko has specialized in pediatric forensics since 2015. She works alongside advocates, law enforcement and child protective services to ensure that a child’s medical and mental health needs are met during child abuse investigations. This may involve photo-documentation of injuries, forensic evidence collection, mental health screening and other interventions to evaluate and protect a child’s health in the aftermath of an assault. She regularly provides expert testimony in court and serves as an objective resource about child safety for parents and medical providers in the community.

Moksha has been a FNP for almost four years. She is privileged to be able to provide medical care to Alaska’s underserved psychiatric population. The most rewarding part of Moksha’s career is meeting patients where they are, in an effort to provide comprehensive, compassionate and sensible care.
