As endorsed by the National Parent Teacher Association, this week encourages active participation in your children's school life. Aligned with PTA Founders Day on February 17, Take Your Family to School Week marks the initiation of the PTA's efforts in 1897 to promote parental involvement in their children's education.
This initiative is part of the PTA's broader programs aimed at fostering a strong connection between home and school.
2) AFRICAN AMERICAN STUDENTS WHO MADE BLACK
Black History Month is a yearly commemoration that originated in the United States, where it is also recognized as African-American History Month. Who is Ruby Bridges?
In history class, it's likely you studied Ruby Bridges, the trailblazing individual who became the first black student to desegregate the all-white William Frantz Elementary school. While four black children were involved in this historic transformation, Ruby stood out as the sole student who courageously faced the challenge alone.
