PROFILE I was born in 1993 in Athens, Greece. I knew quite early that I wanted to be an architect and my studies didn’t disappoint me at all; to the contrary, I believe that if everyone had the chance to study for his/her personal development, architecture would be an excellent choice, because it is a discipline so complete. It is a combination of art and science, theory and practice, concept and construction, logic and inspiration. It is also a discipline which serves life in different ways and scales and that’s fascinating. Now that my studies come to an end, I’m eager to work. I believe that a great part of knowledge is gained through professional experience and I’d like to have it before continuing my studies. Personal caracteristics: creative, hardworking person with a high sense of responsibility, always eager to learn new things and fond of team work.

ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN STUDIO _ NTUA 2015
Location
Pireus & Chamosternas Str, Tavros, Athens, Greece
The area
The building is situated at the convergence of two important axes : the train lines and Pireus street, which connects Athens and Pireus and used to be full of industrial buildings, but today it is converted to a cultural axis.
The concept
A theatrical school is a world with it’s own rythms and rules; but at the same time it is a public building, which should be penetrable and open to the city. So we choose a spiral form for our building, arranging all the spaces around a central yard, which seems rather introvert. However the building gradually rises from the ground and the ground is also reformed, in order to create public passages through it and connect the yard with a big open space next to it.
Project description
Entering the building, the visitor moves from public areas (the reception,the library, the foyer) to more private ones (the classrooms and the gym). The classrooms are linked to the theater, but the last one can function indepedently, as it has its own entrance and foyer. The theater is a flexible black box- giving the students the chance to experiment- which projects to Pireos Str. as a metal box, creating a landmark for the area.

Location
Ardittos hill, Athens, Greece
The area
Ardittos is one of the 7 hills of Athens and it is situated next to Kallimarmaro Stadium, an important archaelogical site, very close to the city center.
The concept
We identify two section lines on Ardittos hill: one is defined by the ground and the second one by the trees’ skyline. The man moves between these two lines, in other words he finds himself in an enclosed zone without any view to the city. For this reason, the atmosphere is rather calm and introvert. However, there are some particular spots where the vegetation is less dense and it permits to see through, towards Acropolis and Lycabettus hill. We wanted to accentuate the experience of moving out of the trees and enjoying the view at these particular spots.
Project description
We suggest a promenade up to the hill, where someone can move out of the enclosed tree zone at some particular points: firstly, he moves horizontaly on two platforms - a kind of swing over the ground- to see only the view of Acropolis or Lycabettus hill. At the end of the promenade, he moves vertically on a tower - a kind of emersion out of the trees- to have a spectacular view of the whole city and its topography. There he finds a resting area with water, after his tiring route up to the hill. The hill was originally rocky without any trees; it was planted later on. For that reason, we choose reinforced concrete for our constructions, as a kind of “artificial rock”, an extension of the physical one. Team work, in collaboration with Margarita Zakynthinou-Xanthi and Aristidis Misiaris.

URBAN DESIGN STUDIO _ ENSA PB 2016
Location
ZAC Bastide-Niel, Rive Droite, Bordeaux, France
The area
The site (36ha) is located in an old industrial and military area, which it has been desindustrialised and today it is under developement, through which new mix-used neighborhoods will emerge, as an extension of the city of Bordeaux. For this particular site, there is already an urban design project by MVRDV.
The concept
Can we use new tools to design the urban tissu, such as the landscape and open spaces? The goal of this project is to create a new sustainable neighbourhood where the landscape has an operational role and not just an esthetic one.
Project description
The buildings and the uses are organised around an hierarchically structured ensemble of public spaces -parcs, squares, gardens- which is linked to the existing Parc aux Angeliques on the river’s shore. These areas function as an hydraulic network which prevents flooding in the case of heavy rain - a frequent phenomenon for Bordeaux’s oceanic climate. In order to maximize the accessibility of pedestrians and the connection between these spaces, the cars are restricted to move in four principal axes and they park under vegetalized private terrasses, accessible to the inhabitants of each block of flats. The two main axes -to which all the public spaces are attached- are sufficiently large so as to permit the mouvement of all the users -pedestrians, cyclists and motorists- and soil is their principal material so as to permit the natural growth of trees. The ground floor is occupied mainly by shops, workshops, public institutions and offices. On the other hand, housing is on the floors and most of them are crossing apartments with a double view to public and private open green spaces. Individual project during Erasmus studies.

CONSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN STUDIO _ NTUA 2014
Location
Kerameikos Archaeological Site, Athens, Greece
The area
The site of this construction is a belvedere with confortable stairs looking over a very important archaelogical site in Athens, Kerameikos, the ancient cemetry. The cemetry was located just outside the walls of the ancient city, but today the site and its surroundings are a quite popular area where many open air activities take place. There, we had to design a light ephemeral construction, made from metal or wood, which would serve as an open air stage for these events.
The concept
Our main goal was to design a construction that would not prevent, but highlight, the excellent view of the archaelogical site. The stage has two levels and projects into Kerameikos, so it can also function as an observatory for the site when it is not used as a stage. We only used thin linear elements for the framework and the panels needed for the backstage are mobile.
Project description
The structural framework is made of steel and all the coverings and finishes are made of wood. The whole construction is founded on a steel base covered with wood which links the stage with the stairs. The stage area stands a bit higher and the backstage is defined by mobile perforated panels. A stair with wooden steps gives access to the second level where the visitor can have an excellent view of the archaelogical site. 05 ARCHAEOLOGICAL LABORATORIES & MUSEUM ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN STUDIO _ NTUA 2014 Location
Kerameikos Archaeological Site, Athens, Greece
The area
Kerameikos, the ancient cemetery, is one of the most important archaeological sites of Athens. It was located just outside the walls of the ancient city, but today the site and its surroundings are a quite popular area very close to the city center. The area is a patchwork of different eras, from ancient to modern times. and the archaeological site is much lower than the modern city.
The concept
The subject of this project was a modern architectural intervention. We had to design laboratories for the archaelogists to work and warehouses for the findings which are not exhibited yet, inside Kerameikos and a visitors' center just next to it. Both parts would be open to visitors as a kind of museum. We wanted to manage the two parts as a whole and redesign the existing square with the excellent view to the site.
Project description
Two pairs of concrete walls create two yards which are on the same level and are connected through an underground passage. These walls are connected with light metal structures which form the main spaces of the buildings. The warehouses are semi-underground declaring the strong connection between earth and the findings. The visitor’s yard and the laboratories yard for the archaeologists are separated so as the latter work undisturbed having a great view to the site. The visitors’ center includes an auditorium with foyer and a library. It can be open even when the rest of the site is closed to the public. It can be reached through the redesigned square, which helps the visitors get closer to the site and stand for a while having an excellent view.

06 URBAN SIGN aka “ASTIKO SIMA” STUDENT’S ARCHITECTURAL COMPETITION_2014
Location
Athens, Greece
The area
There is no specific area. The structure can be transfered and installed anywhere in the city, so as to serve as an info point for different events.
The concept
The info point is conceived as a wall, broken into segments. These ones can be connected in different angles, thus creating a larger variety of spatial qualities and relations than the traditional room, and at the same time they prrevent the structure from falling. We envisioned a versatile structure, a pavilion that is prefabricated, yet its exact size and shape can be decided “in situ” so that they match the requirements of each space. Therefore the number wall segments, as well as the rotation angle of each one can be changed according to the needs. People can freely move around this crooked line, pass through it, sit within it and exploit its various geometries in many ways.
Project description
The whole structure is made from wood: white pine for the frame and okoumé plywood for all the other elements; only the joints are metal ones. Apart from an info point, the structure also serves as a small exhibition space, a free wifi hotspot and a place where people can charge electronic devices such as mobile phones or laptops. It is electrically independent thanks to the photovoltaic panels that it has on its top. Certain parts of the structure, inspired by smart furniture, can be opened and closed to serve as roof shelters or tables when they are open, and protect the electrical equipment from weather conditions when closed. 07 A NEW MUSEUM IN AN OLD TERMINAL, RESEARCH THESIS _ ENSA PB - NTUA 2016
THE CASE OF LE BOURGET This thesis is about the contemporary restoration of Le Bourget terminal in Paris, which was inaugurated in 1937, was converted into the Air and Space Museum in 1985 and today is under restoration work. The principal question is: “Which are the criteria, possibilities and restrictions, that guide the restoration project of a 20th century building, which was modified and its use has changed?�. To answer this question, the research traces the evolution of the terminal, since 1937 until now and to the future, through the analysis of plans and photographs. Three steps of this evolution are compared (1937, 2011 and the future form in 2020) trying to demonstrate the architectural and spatial qualities of the old terminal, which disappeared through the years and today are the motives of the restoration project, along with other criteria. A very important characteristic of this research is the redesigning of the plans with a color code: the elements that remained unchanged are in black, the demolished ones in yellow and the new ones in red. The research includes also information which were given by the architects and the curator during interviews. Individual thesis during Erasmus studies (presented in Paris and Athens)
