Python A python is able to swallow a prey whose body is bigger than itself. Its flabby ligaments and incompletely connected jowl make it possible to open its mouth to 130 degrees. Also, the literally openable mandible allows python's mouth to open in three dimension and forms like a pocket to contain the food.

Body Installation Implement The movements of a creature's limb produce space. While we merge two movements from two different creature, it is supposed to create a new body movement and the way to affect space. In this project, by studying the constitution of a creature and human, we can understand the body movement principle and find the way to install on human body. Through the study, we can create a new constitution relation, and transform the movement of the spacial form. The body constitution research include the connection of limbs, joints and ligament. Through the combination of Body Installation Implement and human body, we can represent the body movement and structural transmission: extension, rotation, flexion, torsion, ab/adduction...etc. The movement change will cause directional and formal transformation. The movement of Body Installation Implement is not "controlled" but "driven" by human body.

A story based on Berlin Wall
01_ The Mirror In the period of Cold War, constructions were built twice on each side of Berlin. Some of them were built to supply the “half city”; some were built for flaunting goverment’s national power. These constructions include towers, parks, government buildings, zoos, theatres, and etc. Tourist often get confuse of the difference between Zoologischer Garten and Tierpark, which both mean “zoo park”. Zoologischer Garten has been found in 1844 in the inner city. It is much older than the Tierpark which has been opened in 1955 during the time of GDR. Being the capital of the German Democratic Republic, East Berlin need a Zoo while West Berlin already had the old one in the British sector. TV tower (Berliner Fernsehturm) was found in 1965. The GDR authorities believe that building a huge monumental construction in front of West Berlin can show out their strength. The site of TV tower was planned to locate at southeast side of Müggelberg, which was immediately being rejected. For the season of its’ location is among the airline route of Schönefeld International Airport. After that, TV tower was planned to locate on Alexanderplatz, where it can face directly to Reichstag building. No matter what reason cause the past Berliner built these constructions twice, they all abstractly continue the separation of West and East Berlin. Even the wall has fell down over 25 years, some Berliner never know the other public constructions are exist on the other side of city.

02_ Wall as space While the founding of Wall concrete the split-up of Berlin, various activities connected the difference between East and West.
On 15 August 1961, a 19-year-old East German soldier Hans Conrad Schumann was sent to the corner of Ruppiner Straße and Bernauer Straße to guard the Berlin Wall on its third day of construction. At that time and place, the wall was only a single coil of concertina wire. At the same spot, on the West Berlin, was standing the 19-year-old photographer Peter Leibing. For more than an hour, Leibing stood watching the nervous young non-commissioned officer as he paced back and forth, his PPSh41 slung over his shoulder, smoking one cigarette after another. “Come on over, come on over!” (Komm’ rüber!) the West Berlin crowd on Bernauer Strasse chanted. And at 4 p.m., Schumann tossed aside his cigarette, then turned and ran for the coil of barbed wire that marked the boundary between East and West. He jumped, flinging away his gun as he flew, and Leibing clicked the shutter. While East Berlin government built the wall to prevent its citizens from leaving, the regime failed to take into account the creativity of those willing to escape the communist system. While some flew over the barrier in hot air balloons, others were smuggled across, hidden in secret compartments in cars, and still others took advantage of the soft soil tunnel to escape beneath the wall. In these various passageways, some were less then 100ft, others were nearly 600ft. Some were like small tube which is barely big enough to crawl through, while others were tall enough to stand up in. It took between 3 days and 6 mouths to dig these various tunnels. Altogether, about 300 people tried to escape through these tunnels between October 1961 and April 1982. Most tunnels were dug from the West to the East, often by men who had already fled to the West and who were now trying to get the rest of their families out of East Germany. The construction of Berlin Wall induced a one-second jump and monthsdigging tunnels. These historical events was recorded in form of photo shots and remains. The emotion of missing family has strongly transferred into these action. Although the wall has separated Berlin city, it connected. In abstract form.

03_Intro The Wall as difference. Let's image the wall as an space which was able to contain the jump and digging tunnels. A four meters high wall is not just a crazy long concrete board, Berliner's fantasy of the other side enlarge the power of the Wall. I was trying to seek out the connection between reality and illusion from Berlin Wall, and extracted to an architectural space: to create an illusionary by materiality elements. To verify my extraction, I presented a bookshop to show the illusionary from the experience of reading a book. The spacial experience represent the action from seeking a book to reading a book, and let people who visits this bookstore feels like reading an illusory book.
04_Reading is the Medium, Light is the Lead. Reading a book, and you will open a door of an imaginary world. Through the concept of Wall, we can create the difference between in/out, solid/void, reality/ imaginary. The bookstore is located on a rectangle site, I created four experience to confuse these various spacial cognition: into the bookstore, select book, read, and leave. Light will come into the space that constituted by wall, to be the hint of conversion between reality and illusionary. In every sections, reality and illusionary internality appear, and the cognition of in/out and solid/ void will be confused. At the rectangle site, 12 meters high wall separate the site from the Taipei style apartment terraced house. Present a concrete solid from the street view. And the solid of bookstore was planned as a narrow huge wall at the diagonal of the rectangular site. In the narrow wall, the space in side was compose with three 80cm width paths.

05_Story _Into the bookstore At a street located in Taipei style apartment housing area, a concrete facade bookstore is waiting for the book seeker. The book seeker comes to a huge concrete wall, and walks into a door that glitter from inside. He walks into the building through a dark narrow path, and sees a green garden. But can't reach there, the book seeker is leaded to second floor through a stair. A three-stories heigh window welcome the book seeker, and present the cross terraces housing facade. The book seeker enjoys the street view. The following path guides the book seeker to a illusory stair. Skylight shines through the water collector and shades the water pattern on the stair and walls. Here, the illusory stair is the foreword of book room.
The book seeker then arrives to his destination, the book room. In this dark book room, only few area of bookshelves will be selected by the daily light, through the windows and sky lights. The daily light will selected different area of bookshelves through different days and seasons. The book seeker brings his book and walks a narrow path to the second floor reading area. Sits on the stair by the low window. Brings the book to light, reads the book, and stays in the world from the book.

The book seeker leaves the world from the book, backs to reality. He comes to another high window, the view is not the street view, but the back alley full of life style. Walking down and book seeker comes to another stair. The dark stair with a light handrail lead the book seeker leaves the illusionlike tour in the book store. After the book seeker walks down the light handrail stair, he arrives the cafeteria that extend from interior to the outdoor triangular garden. Picks up his coffee and the book seeker sit on the chair at thee garden, looking back to the wall that cover the illusion world he just explored. When finishes his coffee, the book seeker walks into the door beneath the wall. Walking up the path, and he finds another triangular garden, but different. Instead of leisure atmosphere, this garden is full of trees. The book seeker looks back again to the door that he just passed, sees the see view of the big wall and finds the illusion world is actually inside a huge wall space.

06_ In this illusory huge wall, the confused space, like the two stair, process distinguishes the reality and illusionary. The first stair presents the illusionary of book room entry through the shades of light and water. The second stair lets the book seeker feels like he can tough the light, and hints the end of the illusion world. Inside the wall space, there are various reality element that will enlarge the illusionary. On one hand, the book seeker can see the view "out" the wall frequently. The window on the wall lead the book seeker sometimes see the inner garden, sometimes see the street view. These "real" element will confuses the book seeker's definition of "out". On the other hand, the two triangular garden which are separated by the diagonal huge wall will make the false appearance of "the only garden" for the book seeker, when he doesn't see the whole plan. However, the views of different gardens occasionally appear inside the wall space. In this book store, the wall space reduce one of the book seeker's sense (eyes) to create the illusionary of confused space.

00_ A/historical tourist's guide to Berlin's Museums Berlin, city of museums, Constructed atop a constantly reestablished history. Visitors experience the city as a collage of new and old, But, ask residents for directions to the museum district, And you hear opposing answers.
In the east, Berliners say, museums line Pipal Boulevard; And history echoes in hulking grey edifices. In the west, they say, the best of our culture is presented in clusters scattered about the city. And museums flaunt bright, airy fresh ideals and the promise of progress. Listen closely, and you'll overhear their endless debates. Return in a few short years, and you'll find More museums built, More revised, The only constant is argument, And the differing directions residents give To the city's museums: Some seek the past on Pipal Blvd, Some seek the future, scattered here and there. The present, they agree, is clamorous.
These debates are amplified in the New Berlin Museum Where patrons are encouraged to forget time, Forget their sense of direction, To be guided by the sunlight Refamiliarize themselves with Berlin. Listen to the dialogs between museums, Listen to an unfamiliar voice, Berlin's culture is founded upon constantly revisited museums.

01_ Casting Stones Berlin is a noisy place. Behind this noise, it is hard to hear a human voice. Compared with other capitals, the residents are relatively silent. This feels like an enforced silence beneath the bustle. It isn't. The Kultur Forum is located in the west near where the Berlin Wall stood. Drawing close, it seems the noise gradually becomes articulate. What we have been hearing is actually a conversation between buildings gossiping about the new neighbours. Three postwar technology buildings are deep in discussion. “Look at the new glass curtain facade in Potsdamer Platz... gorgeous!” gushes the Vitreous Geometric Building. “The circus-like canopy... over 100 meters long, it's going to be the pride of Berlin!” asserts the Golden Philharmonie. The Golden Philharmonie, the pride of organic architecture, is pleased to see Berlin's architecture further embracing the future. On the other side of Berlin, on a lonesome island in the River Spree, seven far older museums are discussing the new arrivals in Potsdamer Platz. With an average age of 200 years, they are traditionalists. They are not amused. “More foreign nonsense in the west,” grumble the ancient Altes Museum, reviving an old grievance. “At ease, comrades. It's just the civilians playing at being modern and cosmopolitan. Once again, they have forgotten their own culture. This love of foreignness in the west... it's another sign of their slavery to fashion. We stand firm in our culture's roots, and true to Prussia!” exclaims the Berlin Cathedral. The familiar sermon draws an enthusiastic response from the elderly museums. “You, Berlin's true museums, keep faith! Look at our comrade before me... our Royal Palace has been returned to us!” The Berlin Cathedral beams down on the edifice standing on the best location on the island. “Again?” the Altes asks doubtfully. “You remember, the Royal Palace was bombed during the WWII, and when it was rebuilt everything had changed: the city's politics, the museum's purpose and appearance. Well, it's been returned to us.... nearly as good as the original!” the Cathedral explains. Overhearing the gossip of the proud, old Prussian Museum, the renovated Royal Palace, now the Humboldt Museum, introduces itself. “For myself, I am honoured to embodied the consciousness of reunited Berlin. East Berliners called me the Palace of the Republic because they needed a guide to understanding the German Democratic Republic. That era is past. Now, I have a new purpose. I will bring Berlin's vision of art to the world. That's what Berliners need now!” The ancient cathedral shudders and nearly collapses. The shouting begins.

02_Time Map The sophisticated history has caused numerous Museum being built in Berlin, around 180 state Museums in roughly. These Museum were built in different periods and properties, and were planned in purpose.
Urban Context From Prussia Empire to Schinkel's urban planning, Berlin's city context has gradually developed align a cross-shaped urban axis— Friedrichstraße and Under den Linden. The end point of Unter den Linden is Museum Island, which Berliner Stadtschloss was located on. Schinkel's Urban planning was known as “Spree Athen”, the progressive urban ideology which he proposed building Museums to spread knowledge to citizen from the nobility. And that cause the abundance of great buildings in Museum Island. Schinkel’s inheritor, Peter Josef Lenné, also transferred Großen Tiergartens, the former hunting forest for royal family, to a public park. Before second World War, there was a capital planning wasn't been implemented. Speer had accepted the hiring of Germania's( the capital of the Reich) commander from Hitler. Speer's axis planning is actually a concept from Hitler: the cross axis had separated Berlin into four section, traffic ban had been fulfilled in these sections, and huge scale architecture had been built align axises. All these concepts symbolize the power of socialism. The location of Speer's axis planning is about the west of Brandenburg Gate, within Tiergartens. Though this planning failed because of Hitler's death, the demolition from 1983 has destroyed lots of cultural heritages. During Cold War, Capitalism and Socialism coexisted in Berlin and was separated by the Wall. The conscious and optical separation was increase endless. Since then, constructive actions had competitively began on both sides. Most of national culture constructions are located in the land of East Berlin. Therefore, West Berlin constructed KulturForum, which includes national buildings, just behind the Wall. In this period, each side of Berlin had its own city centre, and along the Wall were numerous national constructions lost it architectural function. After reunification, the city's orientation is taking Berlin back to its pre-destruction and division state. Berliners restored its block structures, and built construction on top of vacancy which Bielin Wall was located. Most of these vacant areas are meaningful in historical perspective and has developed into transportation hub. A specific example is Pariser Platz, with Brandenburg Gate stands in center and embassies of former West Berlin Allies connect to Under den Linden. The city centers remain on each side, and also develops on the vacant area which were left after the Wall Fell. Berlin has attempt to repair the contextual gap since Cold War.

The Monumentality of Rhetoric
Tools to speech By the relations among Museums, we can clearly realize 300 years of Berlin's context development. And all these Museums were built to spread the regimes by authorities and new right. Architecture has become a tool to speech, and all the Museums are like being in a field of debate if we extract each of them into a manifesto. It is a non-result debate, and freshman will endlessly join into the field.
Architectural Operation The authorities speech their right not only through building new museums, there are others way that spread their thought in architectural operation. There are three type of operations: New Born, Tempering, and substitution.
New Born: New Born is the operation which was remarked previously. When a new main stream come out, so do the new constructions. This is a simple architectural operation to speech, even after the reunification. Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe is a monumental landscape built to memorize the Jewish during WWII and propose the new attitude of race. Though its construction suffered from interrogations: Why Berlin need another monument for an event that is same as Berlin Jewish Museum, which is the representative monument of murdered Jewish? A wording is: The moving back of capital to Berlin cause Nations afraid of Nationalism reviving, at that situation which rightist power was increasing and new Nazi was domineering. In order to appease Nations' trepidation, the german government plan the monument in front of Brandenburg Gate and Reichstag. This action is the declaration of German Government that they will never forget the cruel historical facts.
Tempering: By changing the appearance of a former power building, transfer museum into one's language. Reichstag was burned in night at 27th of February 1922, the forth week after Adolf Hitler's serving German Chancellor. The criminal of arson is not identified, yet what is certain is Nazi was the beneficiaries. In 1945, when Soviet Red Army invaded into Berlin, they regarded burned Reichstag as a symbol of Nazi. After reunification, Reichstag's renovation was designed by Norman Foster. A glass dome was built on top the congress room, that allows visitors to look through into. This renovation successfully symbolize the new attitude of politics.

Substitution: When the former authorities has gone, demolish the original museum and build a new one on site. This operation not just declares its own speech, but eliminates the vestige of past regime. A vacancy on Museum Island is now occupied to built a museum, at the middle of island and across Berliner Dome. The vacancy was the location of Berliner Stadtschloss which existed from Prussia Empire until a bomb from WWII. The authority in Cold War, GDR, demolished the ruined Berliner Stadtschloss and built Palace of the Republic, a post-World War II Modern style building which constructed with steel frame and brown transparent glass. After the reunification, the Bundesrepublik Deutschland government teared down Palace of Republic by the reason of asbestos pollution and planned to build Humboldt Forum. Humboldt Forum will present the same faced from Berliner Stadtschloss, with only a side, which face TV Tower, will present modern style. This Museum will demonstrate art collections from all over the world to show the new perspective against world from New Berlin.
42
The Monumentality of Rhetoric
Kultur Forum The debates among Museums reached to its peak during Cold War. By the construction competition between two governments, double of infrastructures were built in Berlin. Therefore, Berlin Wall became a cognition opposite mirror: one appear on place, will also appear another in different perspective. The most obvious of museum's debate during Cold War was Kultur Forum. The forum is located at the easternmost of West Berlin, just beside Berlin Wall. The constructions within forum, Berliner Philharmoniker by Hans Sharon and Neue Nationalgalerie by Mies van der Rohe, were shown off of there funds and techniques to East Berlin. For West Berlin, Kultur Forum's location is a point that near the historical axis, and was the buffer area toward Berlin Wall. Instead, for East Berlin, Kultur Forum is a high-profile and provocative construction. After the Wall fell, Potsdamer Platz, near Kultur Forum, was built as a emerging commercial center and drove development of vacancy which occupied former Berlin Wall. The construction of Potsdamer Platz cause Kultur Forum lost its meaning of existence and become a blank space in the center of city. In this city, the museums used to exist for educational reason has become monuments for main streams. The meaning of museums has been converted, and causes numerous museums gather in a city. Therefore, I designed a New Berlin Museum in Kultur Forum, to join the debate among Museums.

New Berlin Museum & Museum + New Berlin Museum shaped like a ring and floats above Kultur Forum, leaving a void field that face the ghost of Berlin Wall. The ring of Museum stand by round of pillars, more than 20 meters high, the top of Museum is surrounded by a panoramic view of Berlin. It attempts to dialogue with all museums in the city by demonstrate an action “ Museum +”.
Museum + The action “ Museum +” provides a way for people in Berlin to get involved into the debates among Museums. By placing “Anti-objects” in front of a target museum, Berliners who without money and power can debate with the museum's authorities. Museum + runs without fixed date, but follow the time that each museum's anniversary which is chosen to debate with. The date might be a museum's establishment anniversary, disappeared museum's demolishment annual, or a big event date of a museum.

Anti-Object Anti-Objects can be any form or condition. They will be any things that can temporary installed, assembled, and dismantled. For example: When the Humboldt Forum was in planned, they received criticism from all over Berlin. The criticism include the form of a fake Prussian Palace and the demolition of Palace of Republic. While the Palace of Republic was determined to be teared downy the reason of asbestos pollution, the former East Berlin citizens protested. Palace of Republic was one of the few remained entity memories from East Berlin: the brown transparent glass, reflecting the image of Berliner Dome, embedded in the steel frame that presents post-World War II modern style. At the Humboldt Forum's establishment anniversary, former East Berlin citizen will set pieces of fragments from the former Palace of Republic's facade in front of the widow of the replica Berliner Stadtschloss. The scene that Berliner Dome reflected on the brown transparent glass emerge again reminds Berliner their nearly disappear history evidence while the whole world are in the ecstasy of a new museum in Berlin.

For another exist anti-object: At the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, over 8,000 balloons align on the path of former Wall. These white Balloons perched on 3.6m poles to match the height of the wall and stretching for 15km. For this weekend the balloons had become a part of the city, with Berliners strolling, jogging, or cycling along the route, and were released one by one to symbolize the breaching of the wall by crowds of protesters.
By intervening Anti-Objects into city at the specified date, Museum + let the history which was wrote by authorities can be intervene by Berliners.

Outside the round of thin pillars and tubular elevators, New Berlin Museum are surrounding by the significant architecture of Kultur Forum.

03_ Shedding Light on the New Berlin Museum
The morning of May 29th, in the plaza of the Kurtur Forum, near the Neue National Gallery and Berliner Philharmonie, people are spreading their picnic mats. On the hill, children play, couples embrace, readers recline. Ten meters overhead, a circular museum seems to float above the forum. People walk beneath the museum among tall structural pillars and tubular glass elevators.
22-meters up, on the museum's rooftop, one enjoys a panoramic view of Berlin. Walking around the circular path, visitors gradually descend into the museum proper, and the roof morphs into a low wall which grows gradually higher. The view of the city disappears when the wall reaches eye level. The skyline disappears except for two towers, relics of the Cold War, facing each other from east and west. Eventually, the sky disappears behind the ceiling's arch. The museum welcomes the visitors in darkness and silence.
50
The Monumentality of Rhetoric
In the darkness, visitors rely more on their ears. Here, the city's cacophony gradually fades away, replaced by something more familiar but as yet dimly heard. The noise draws us towards a wall in which a sliver of light trickles through a long horizontal slot. Following the weak light, the noise grows more articulate. An irregular space seemingly carved out of reinforced concrete reinforces the illusion that, at this moment, we stand in a cave lit only by a slanting beam of morning sunlight.
One of the voices in the cacophony resolves into something intelligible. Looking through the fountainhead of the light, a facade fragment from the Palace of the Republic is revealed as the source of the voice. The brown glass, set in a characteristically GDR-modern steel-framed pattern, stands immediately before us. From this a voice emanates, telling what happened 30 years before when the Palace of Republic was demolished. As the sun rises, the light-defined space gradually fades away, and the voice is again lost in the cacophony. As time elapses, a lit space forms in another corner. Visitors, who lack a sense of direction in this place, can only move towards the unpredictable light, or follow the voices of the fragments of the museums. Another corner is later revealed by a sliver of sunlight; an archway appears, revealing a new path. This leads to an enclosed glass bridge taking visitors to a bright, valley-like exterior where they discover numerous other pieces of museums locked in debate over their histories and philosophies.

In this dark museum, it is hard to be conscious of the passage of time. Visitors have likely already lost track of their sense of direction and time. As visitors walk to a cave wall illuminated by a sliver of light trickling in through a narrow slit, one's awareness of wandering around the museum ring begins to take shape. But moving towards the weak light, the space it forms disappears. In the slant of afternoon light reflecting off the curved wall, a new path appears.

Visitors walk a narrow path, high walls on either side and the afternoon sky far above. The farther we walk, the lower the wall. Finally, the wall drops below eye-level and the city comes into view. Visitors return to the city of museums they visited that morning, but see it anew, with a different consciousness. Welcome to the New Berlin Museum, inaugurated May 29th, 2019, 30 years to the day after the Berlin Wall fell. Loose Fit Architecture is entering a Thermodynamic Age. After centuries of concern with Form and Style, architecture today is increasingly concern with performance. And this performance is primarily Thermodynamic-concerned with the dynamics ( change, transformation, movement ) of heat. This project is aimed to solved the thermal environment by a new type of massive arrangement in Taipei city, where with an average temperature 29.2℃ ( 84.56℉ ). By creating a new type of apartment housing complex that is composed by continuously typological element, the new building can be integrated into the high residential dense city. Also create a new type of lifestyle that suitable for various family types.
The urban problem in Taipei city
In Taipei city, Urban context has a big chasm between old and new area. The old district is crowded with five-stories apartment and the context is organic spontaneous. Ontop of these old apartment are steel plate temporary houses which are illegal and have existed over 20 years. On the other side, the new context in Taipei is planned in grid and high building, and new regulation limits the constructions of illegal housing. The population in Taipei city is always high over the dwellings, and that cause the illegal housing ontop of old town and the high residential buildings in new district. The high buildings have increased capacity of dwelling, but decrease green from residents. Furthermore, the blocky high resident building strengthen Urban Heat Island in Taipei basin.

Performative Types The new type of building element were transferred from four types (Centraal Beheer, Space Block Hanoi, Villa Shodhan, and Moriyama House ) of classic buildings. By analyzing from typology, we can compare the effect of different topic from various types. Loose-fit is the new type that depict the scattered massive with relation among each units. In this project, in order to solve the thermal environment and lifestyle in Taipei city, the two topics, “Ventilation” and “Community”, are formalized as a focus of typological research. In this project, Vasari and Grasshopper are the applications to assist ventilation simulation and huge data modeling.
Space layer_ Villa Shodhan Key aspects to be considered in designing Villa Shodhan included sun, wind, the view upon arrival and landscaping. They could be addressed above all by the positioning of the facades which, with a diagonal orientation, allowed the incoming visitor a view over three-quarters of the building. The landscaping sets off the building by contrasting the curved mounds of the site with the geometric, rectangular lines of the structure. The rectangles on the north-west and south-west façades are further emphasized through the installation of brise soleil(sun breaker) for protection from glare. A ramp provides access to the main and mezzanine levels, while the rooms are grouped around a triple-height terrace. The ramp also leads to accompanying stairs, providing access to the roof and terrace. The terrace plays an important role in the natural climate control process, cooling down the bedrooms in the middle of the day and providing an alternate sleeping area during the summertime. Upon the parasol roof of Villa Shodhan, there is a garden abundant in thick grass and water troughs. The vision of dense greenery is also reinforced by overrun plants and trees, seeming to camouflage the building and its environment.

Space block_ Space Block Hanoi The objective of this project was to make a lowemission, 4-storey townhouse that would not rely on air conditioning. Instead, good natural ventilation was established within a high density environment. Were the renewal of the old city to progress in accordance with this model, the research shows that it would be possible to realize an environmentally friendly model for a compact city. The porosity ratio (exterior ratio) is 50% and the courtyards intertwine three-dimensionally with the building volume itself. The way of stacking the boxes was determined by CFD (computer fluid dynamics) analysis and by ensuring privacy between neighbors. The wind analysis that the firm implemented in this project became a starting point for how we conceive of an architecture with “fluid direction. This approach seeks to design by flow, rather than by the organization of objects in space. It is able to create fluid design by having air movement where it would seem no air could flow. People in this area have the experience and knowledge to use such exterior spaces for a variety of activities , such as dining . There are only a few courtyards that are open to the sky; all exterior spaces are filled with strong natural light, coming from the north. On the top of buildings, the wind tower design also allows winds come into the private ground level courtyard.

Dispersion_ Moriyama House Moriyama House is located in a traditional part of Tokyo where daily life continues in a typical urban structure. There are more than ten volumes on the site each accommodating different requirements. These volumes are independent from one another and are scattered across the site creating a series of connected individual gardens, open to the surroundings. Currently some are rented creating a small community of little dwellings. This group of individually proportioned buildings establishes an independent landscape and atmosphere all its own. In this house, the client is given the freedom to decide which part of this cluster of rooms is to be used as residence or as rental rooms. He may switch among the series of living rooms and dining rooms or use several rooms at a time according to the season or other circumstances. The domain of the residence changes after his own life.
Regularity_ Centraal Beheer Centraal Beheer is a kind of “worker's village designed so that the occupants 'would have the feeling of being part of a working community without being lost in the crowd'. The building is a deep spatial matrix of concrete and blockwork arranged on a tartan grid. Platforms separated by light wells enable light to filter down into the centre of the plan. The unfinished quality of the materials and the repetitive nature of these small platforms allowed them to be appropriated by small groups of 8-10 people who were encouraged to personalise and decorate the space. Consisting of sixty tower-like cubes connected on each floor by overpasses. Also the materials of the glass-roofed inner space evoke an outdoor atmosphere. The illumination throughout is an integral part of the architecture, in this case conceived in terms of street lighting.

Types According to the result of units ventilation analysis, Regularity conduces wind to go horizon through massive; Space Layer enhance wind speed among gaps in Regularity type; Dispersion control the overall wind configuration; Space Block lead wind flows equally in 3D model; and Wind Tower allows wind to do vertical move.
Unit Ventilation To create a new type of performance building module, I designed a simple unit model that can disperse wind into a huge constructions field. The units are arrayed in Regularity and each block of unit is not solid but just occupy a half of volume. The block unit is constructed vertical in spiral with each floor half of unit block area. And each unit block is randomly turn in different orientation, so that the section of the constructions field will present in Space Block. Furthermore, the balcony which expose with the roof of spiral building allows green garden placed at high altitude.

Moreover, residents can composite their shell volume in accordance with their family composition. Each of a floor unit is in dimension 12m x 24m, a floor unit is suitable for single or couple, and tree or more floor units is recommended for big family. Or the ground floor unit can be constituted into a commerce-residence composite building.
The core provides separated vertical system from different level housing. Besides, each housing composition would have its private stair to link among different floors. It also organize the utilities system around core, so that the wet rooms are efficiently planned to each floor. Another function of the center core is that it can be a wind tower to catch wind from high altitude to ground floor, while the ventilation is not efficient of high building density.

According to site ventilation result, the north-east area are easily become shelter because of surrounding building height. Therefore, I shaped a volume to bring winds into shelter space. The building height is start align with surrounding in east end and expand lower to center of the site in the east part. In order to lead winds into north shelter part, the building height at southwest and north-west part are enlarged to block the winds.

In order to lead winds into north shelter part, the building height at southwest and north-west part are enlarged to block the winds. And once the building height is high to block winds, the inner space among high building will be shelter. Therefore, the core that function as wind tower can help bringing winds down to ground floor.

Community In the spiral building module, each balcony is set as an individual object in a level plan. Learning from Regular type, adding linker between two floor units to create more variation of housing composition type. The linker enlarges the indoor area, also connects the up floor balcony. And according to the ventilation analysis, adding a few downwind pieces can enhance wind speed through the buildings.
The connected balcony gives the high altitude an efficient way to get to other buildings with out using elevator. Furthermore, the connected balcony also provides an opportunity to create the high altitude public open space, as a community center for housing clusters.
