Welcome to 640a Fulham Road Introduction Both Chard Management and myself will do our best to ensure that your new home, for the next three years, will be a most pleasant experience. I have written this manual to be as brief as possible to be both a speedy to read and comprehensive as possible. If some information seems a little juvenile in its inclusion, please be a little patient as many tenants do profit from this advice. I have made genuine efforts to make this manual both accurate and complete, but in the event that the descriptions could be clearer, information is missing or some other improvements could be made, please feel free to email me at: alan@ezekiel.ws and I will make any relevant amendments as necessary. Locking the door •

From the inside; lift the handle and rotate it anticlockwise to about the one o'clock position, then rotate the locking knob (located beneith the handle) fully anticlockwise.

From the outside; lift the handle clockwise to about the 11 o'clock position, then turn the key fully.

Check to see if the door is locked.

Unlocking the door •

From the inside; rotate the locking knob fully clockwise and depress the handle clockwise

From the outside; turn the key anticlockwise and then depress the handle anticlockwise.

For your security, always remember to lock the door when you leave the premises and after you enter it.

Window Blinds Apart from Bedroom Two (en-suite), all rooms have wooden blinds. These are the heavy type and need some care when using them.

Adjusting the slats •

The slats are the layers of wood in the blinds. These may be adjusted to regulate the amount of light entering the room. They are two cords on located to the left side of the blinds. By pulling on each of them in turn, the angle of the slats are adjusted to to allow the amount of light you require. The maximum amount of light is gained when they are fully open.

Raising the blinds •

Before raising the blinds ensure that the slates are fully open (see above).

Pull the right-hand cords (all together) to about 30 degrees to the right and pull down. Raise the blinds to about three quarters of the way up. More than this places too much stress on the cords and they may them to break.

Lowering the blinds •

Pull the right-hand cords to about 30 degrees to the left and gently release the cords to lower the blinds. They may need some encouragement by gently pulling down on the base of the blinds while still holding the cords to the left.
