Seduction
1920s Gambling Room
Back Alley
Background - Montréal in 1920s From 1920 to 1933, the United States prohibited alcohol. Numerous New Yorkers came to Montréal to have fun and drove the city’s nightlife. Therefore, Montréal was called “Party City”. This part of history has been deliberately forgotten, which is gorgeous and playful for the hidden history of the city, including sex, gambling, corruption and crime. Concept - Seduction This hotel project explores the seduction of space and also seduction of people to evoke the notion of romance of 1920s Montréal. It creates the sequence of experience for the guests. For example, the guests would unconsciously the visual sequences and participate in the process of seduction, and being given the hints and induced to search the hidden answers. The overall layout is inspired by set design to create a back alley scene, which reflects how people sneaked into the narrow alleys to find their paradises.

Concept THY branding store is a collaboration with a Parsons fashion design student who designed the first physical store of her own brand. The concept is to express the modern woman’s tough, but feminine, personality by using contrasting materials. The brick wall represents the tough outside while the white fabric and pink carpet at the center represent the feminine inside. The brass material also enhances the level of delicacy. There is a large fitting area at the center, divided by the floor-to-ceiling white curtains, which creates a private space for customers to try on products without being disturbed.

" Every Moment is the Best Moment for Reading "
Concept The main concept is “ Every Moment is the Best Moment for Reading.”. The design target is to help children to build good habit at their young age. For achieving the target, the library wants to bring reading into their daily life. To strongly extend the concept, Children’s life is put into the layout, including home, school, park and secret base. The library provides the different life theme spaces to increase reading possibilities. It is in order to tell kids that reading does not only happen when they sitting in front of a desk, but also when they lie on the ground, stretch under the tree and share their mind in the secret tent.

Client - ASD Children & Their Caregivers - Hypersensitivity - Impaired social interaction Concept The concept of the Autism Center is reflecting the internal world of autistic children. The square shape of the building with sharp angle represents the external world, while the circular shape of courtyard represents the internal world, which is protective and safe. In between, the square with round corner is the transitional area where the classrooms and staff areas are located, which indicates the helps from Autism Center serving as the bridge between the autistic children and society.
