The cat pavilion became a sanctuary for TAMCHUI cats and residents, covered by a bamboo structural frame system and a translucent PVC roof. When the cat walks over the roof, people below can vaguely feel the movement above, and the uncertainty of the cat from static to dynamic provides more fun.

In addition to catwalks, cat grasses are planted in some locations on the outer frame to continue the ecology of the surrounding green space, while providing lateral shelter for cats and people. EA2 The design uses concrete solid walls, steel structures, and light translucent skins to divide stable and unstable spaces, and fragments the volume, oriented in all directions to absorb the multi-faceted people around, while moving stairs, elevators, etc. vertically. The line is arranged on one side of the main facade, so that the flow of people inside can form a silhouette through the translucent skin, which echoes the busy traffic and crowds on the outside. In order to create a level transition from unstable to stable space, I plan to move from outdoors to semi-outdoors to indoors. AIM The goal of this design is to explore how origami technology can be combined with inflatable structures to form a form of architectural scale, thereby changing the spatial pattern we generally recognize. In recent years, origami technology has been widely used in the fields of engineering, space, and robotics. Its easy storage and ability to deform with the environment has great potential to be used in environmental interactive devices. Combining with the inflatable structure can solve the problem of kinetic energy, and at the same time, the inflatable structure can be controlled to a certain extent after the original deflation, and even stress. Therefore, we ask (what will happen if multiple origami patterns are applied to architectural spaces? How does the resulting space change people's lifestyles?)

森林線以上,氣候寒冷、風勢強勁,除了 低矮灌木,就是各種身形矮小、花季時大放 異彩的高山植物,也是臺灣物種特有比例 最高的區域,如玉山杜鵑、玉山薄雪草、高 山白腹鼠和雪山草蜥等皆生活於此。

海拔處以冷杉為主。海拔較低處則以台 灣鐵杉及台灣雲杉為主。喬木層下的地被 植物則以箭竹、蕨類及蘚苔植物等。動物種 類不多,包括帝雉、台灣朱雀、金翼白眉、岩 鷚、雪山草蜥和台灣蜓蜥等。

終年潮溼,因為雲霧終年繚繞,又稱為「 盛行雲霧帶」或「霧林帶」。生態系中的優勢 樹種由針葉樹和闊葉樹所組成;針葉樹種 包括紅檜、臺灣扁柏、臺灣杉和臺灣肖楠; 闊葉樹種主要由樟科(如臺灣肉桂和豬腳 楠)和殼斗科(如長尾柯和森氏櫟)所組成。 生態系中的攀爬植物豐富,並有地衣和蘚 苔植物附生樹幹和地表。

The elevation is dominated by firs. The lower altitudes are dominated by Taiwan hemlock and Taiwan spruce. The ground cover plants under the tree layer are arrowbamboo, ferns and mosses. There are not many species of animals, including Emperor Pheasant, Taiwan Suzaku, Gold en-winged White Eyebrow, Rock Pipit, Snow Mountain Grass Lizard and Taiwan Flying Lizard, etc.

It is humid all year round, because the clouds and mists linger all the year round, also known as the "fog forest belt". The dominant tree species in the ecosystem are composed of conifers and broad-leaved trees; coniferous tree species include red juniper, Taiwan cypress,Taiwan fir and Taiwan Xiaonan; broad-leaved tree species are mainly composed of Lauraceae and Fagaceae. Climbing plants are abundant in the ecosystem, and there are lichens and mosses epiphytic trunks and ground surfaces.

針闊葉混生林長年霧氣壟 罩。我將4層編織網格疊加 ,藉此在透視上隨著身體 移動而產生視覺上的變化 ,就像霧氣模糊不清,沒有 明確的邊界。

我設計一個隱藏於山坡中 的避風所,編織紋理仿照 周遭被風吹拂的箭竹與圓 柏,讓旅人能暫時休憩,靜 下來聽聽風的聲音。

I designed a shelter hidden in the hillside, the weaving texture imitates the surrounding arrow bamboo and juniper blown by the wind, so that travelers can take a break and listen to the sound of the wind.

Descriptions of Design: Sù Sù _To capture the feeling of forest is the design intent for exploring perception. This motivation comes from personal experience while resting in the shade The warm daylight filters down from the gaps between the leaves and the shadows as inter weaving with the sunshine together. When tree shadow covers people, the boundaries between internal and external spaces begin to ambiguous. So I imagine about representing a scenario under the shadow of a tree, taking light and shadow to disintegrate the boundaries between craft and nature. Started from my mountaineer experience, the transformation of continuously forest physiognomy are integrated into 4 conceptual installations, such as capturing fallen leaves, fog and wind, and enhancing the perception of the external environment. I use the natural material, bamboo to make this mock up. In order to reduce the framing difficulty in the forests, a simplified fabrication process for weaving cur ved bamboo is developed parametrically. The light weight frame could be cur ved and erected by ver y limited manpower. In the end, the fecade is to simulate the texture of nature. It is woven with bamboo strips and branches. By using the bamboo fabrication weaving, it creates an atmosphere covered by several different layers under the shadow of a trees. It represents the primitive sensation of resting in the mountain.

Space units can be expanded by combining to form spaces that support different activities. For example, take a break, have a picnic, get together to chat, etc. The combination of 3 units creates a centripetal space opening; the combination of 4 units forms a small virtual space and brings in greenery; and the combination of 6 units produces a covered garden.

The space plane presents the geometric form of 3 hexagonal combinations, but with the combination of space units, when people walk around, there are endless changes in sight. The arrangement of thin bamboo strips produces changes in permeability.

將3D模型拆成3個相同的單元 施作,之後把骨架依序攤平,從 而計算每個竹條的交點與所需 材料的尺寸。

通過數位軟體輔助編碼,將竹 條的每個交點加上編號,並生 成對應的編號組裝圖。

I designed a measuring table with concentric circles to measure the bendability of different bamboo materials. From the results, I know that the thicker and wider the bamboo, the harder it is to bend. Among different bamboo materials, osmanthus is the best to bend. Therefore, I finally chose a 2.5 cm wide and 0.5 cm thick osmanthus bamboo to surround my skeleton material.

10. 整體製作工序 Production process

空間由骨架及皮層組成,骨架透過數位輔助計 算達到讓素人也能輕鬆的組構並維持型態的 精準度。 而皮層則是以手工,較感性的方式以細竹條及 竹枝編織,透共身體的勞動力與空間對話,與 自然對話。 The space is composed of a skeleton and a cortex. The skeleton is digitally assisted to achieve the accuracy that even amateurs can easily organize and maintain the shape.

The skin layer is woven with thin bamboo strips and branches in a hand-made, more sensual way, so as to communicate with the body's labor force and space, and with nature.

DIGITAL MOSAIC CALCULATION


數位馬賽克牆運用grasshopper 軟體將樹背景圖片轉化 為馬賽克,並優化為80種4個顏 色不同比例的6*5馬賽克片 將馬賽克圖片跳脫客製化方式, 轉換為種材料模矩的組合 迷彩的樹影,將建築和諧的融入 環境。 The digital mosaic wall uses Grasshopper software to transform the tree background image into a mosaic, and optimizes it into 80 types of 6*5 mosaic pieces with different proportions of 4 colors. The mosaic image breaks away from the customized method and transforms into a combination of material modules. The camouflage of the tree shadow harmoniously integrates the building into the environment.

“WINDOW OF THE SEA” is an idea brought out by the General Education Center of Chihlee University of Technology. To execute the USR program by Ministry of Education, “Queen’s Call—Yehliu International Tourism Experimental Base” collaborated withNeo-Space International Co., Ltd and Tamkang University through practicing the course Building Structure and Molding, as exhibited the students work at Yehliu Geopark.
