Lougheed House
SATURDAY
JULY 21 starts 9:30 a.m.
Lougheed House
Mark your calendar for Saturday, July 21 as Lougheed House once again presents its annual free family event, Ride Through Time. There will be a free stampede style pancake breakfast to the first 600 guests, come down and grab your flapjacks flipped by the Calgary Stampede Batter Boys. Be sure to come early as breakfast will be served at 10 am. Live entertainment will keep to the theme of all things elegant and western this year with entertainment ranging from a bagpiper to a western story teller and things between. Shine your boots and have your dancing feet ready to jump into line for some country line dancing. Be ready to tap your toes to Jacquie Drew’s catchy country-folk music. As with other years kids crafts and activities will be plentiful. They’ll love making their own hobby horse and cloth dolls or visiting the petting zoo. There is something for everyone: you will be able to view an antique car collection, wander the grounds and visit with our dedicated Lougheed House volunteer gardeners, or stop off inside the House to chat with a variety of historic groups. The sun shines every year for this event, so bring your sunscreen, hat and sunglasses and enjoy a Ride Through Time!
