You are visiting your cousin Jerry, a praying mantis, who lives on Saturn in a haunted house above the clouds. You have a long journey to Saturn, and when you get there, you want to go for a swim in the clouds together. It feels like floating through space. As you swim, you see cotton candy, salty clouds, neighbors, and salty fish. It’s paradise up here!
All of a sudden, a fish jumps out and bites your ankle, pulling you down into the water clouds. You look over and see your cousin Jerry slowly morphing into a blueberry muffin. She becomes a blueJerry muffin! She still has the head of a praying mantis, but the body of a blueberry muffin. She is not edible! You look to the side and see a squid headed toward Jerry with its mouth open.
If you choose to break free from the fish and run to Jerry’s haunted house to find a way to help Jerry, turn to page 2 or 3.
If you choose to fight the fish and squid in order to escape with Jerry, turn to page 4 or 5.
You kick the fish in the face with your other leg and swim up to take the cloud path to Jerry’s haunted house. Jerry’s friend Larry finds you and says “you can have a look around.” You are curious and search around the house and find a bottle filled with a potion. You don’t know which potion is which because you need a magic ingredient to help activate the potion.
If you choose to activate the potion, turn to page 6.
If you choose to not activate the potion, turn to page 7.
You run into the basement of the haunted house, looking for a witch to brew a potion for Jerry. You discover that the witch has forgotten the ingredients for the potion! The recipe for the potion is all torn up and you must put the puzzle pieces of the paper together to learn the ingredients. You solve the puzzle which directs you to a subway running through the basement of the haunted house. The subway will take you to the potion ingredients. You find the train but it’s abandoned and the wires are not connected. There is a red wire and a blue wire and you have 2 choices . . .
If you choose to connect the red wire, turn to page 8. If you choose to connect the blue wire, turn to page 9.
You kick the fish in the head, it swims away. You swim over to fight the squid and put it in a chokehold, but as you are doing that, it starts to fly away.
All of a sudden, more squids start to fall from the sky to attack Jerry. They all have three eyes, are rainbow-colored, and have small wings. They are also very slimy, with dry tentacles. They smell like a rotten crocodile that ate a rotten fish. It is hard to hold on and you are faced with an important choice
If you choose to hold onto the squid, grab Jerry, and fly away, turn to page 10.
If you choose to jump off the squid to defend Jerry from the other squids, turn to page 11.
You are going to fight the fish and Jerry becomes free. He runs away and leaves you to fight the squid by yourself. Turns out, he’s actually your evil cousin! As you are fighting the squid, you see Jerry running into his haunted house. As Jerry runs into his house, he does a backflip and knocks down the egg sack hanging from his door. Jerry gets distracted trying to put the babies back, who hatched from the egg. You break free from the squid and as you run to Jerry’s house, the babies attack you and you die. While you are dead, a magic squirrel comes to heal you. As you come back to life, the squirrel and you team up to fight off Jerry and the babies. Jerry gives up and moves to another planet with her babies. As Jerry moves to her new home, she steps on a moldy waffle that opens up to a portal that has Jerry’s evil office where she watches everyone on Earth.

SCHOOLWORK SUPPORT
We organize trained volunteer tutors to work with students one-on-one with their homework after school. Homework support is available for all subjects, for students ages 7–18.
WORKSHOPS
We offer a number of free workshops taught by professional artists, writers, and our talented volunteers. From comic books to screenplays, bookmaking to radio, our wide variety of workshops are perfect for writers of all ages and interests. One of the most popular workshops we offer is our weekly Wee-bots program for elementaryaged writers.
IN-SCHOOL PROJECTS
Our trained volunteers go into local public schools to support teachers with their classroom writing assignments. Based on the teacher’s curriculum, assignments range from writing tales to crafting college essays to exploring poetry.
FIELD TRIPS
Students come as a class to our writing lab to join a group of volunteers, interns, and staff in order to help solve a problem through writing—whether that is our editor Dr. Blotch’s insomnia, our looming story deadline, a mystery in need of solving, or one of the many others we encounter. Our field trips always end in a finished publication of original writing that students take home.
