Legoland

by Oliver Avidor, age 9

Part 1 The place I know is Legoland. When you come in, there is a sign that says Legoland, and there is a car and a tower! People get to build Legos or ninjas and shoot bad guys. To get points, you can watch movies, win races, and go to water parks. It was 8:00; I said, “Let’s go to the waterpark.” I ran, and when I turned around, everyone was gone. I heard Eric scream. I followed the scream. It was my twin . . . he was dead. I knew it was an apocalypse; my whole family was dead. My car disappeared, the lights were out, the clouds, it rained. My dad started to glitch, then fire started coming towards me. It was a big fire, so I started running.

Part 2 When I get home, I sleep at home alone. When I wake up, I see a head turn. I don’t know. I was scared. The head turns. I see a person with skin that looks like it’s melted. I scream and run with fright, then I take a gun and start shooting him. He dies.

Part 3 I stop in relief, then skeletons come out from the floor. Then I run out of the house. I trap all the skeletons, then a shadow comes out of the darkness. To be continued . . .
