THE AR/VR SHOWROOM FACILITY
The key component of the building will be an Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) showroom on the ground floor. This component of the building will showcase AR/VR technology equipment acquired as part of UWC’s relationship with global firm, EON Reality. The showroom will provide UWC students and staff with an opportunity to experience AR/VR technology and how it can be used in an academic teaching and learning environment and beyond.
THE AR/VR STUDIO
The AR/VR Studio will be located next to the showroom on the ground floor. The studio will house graduates from UWC’s Postgraduate Diploma in e-Skills Development which was launched in 2019 . The studio will provide an opportunity for graduates from the course to apply their academic knowledge to create AR/VR software that can be used either in UWC academic programmes or that can be marketed to organisations or corporates. The studio will also be able to develop bespoke AR/VR software for use by businesses, training or testing purposes.
