“Choose life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a fucking big television, Choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players, and electrical tin can openers. Choose good health, low cholesterol and dental insurance. Choose fixed-interest mortgage repayments. Choose a starter home. Choose your friends. Choose leisure wear and matching luggage. Choose a three piece suit on hire purchase in a range of fucking fabrics. Choose DIY and wondering who the fuck you are on a Sunday morning. Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing spiritcrushing game shows, stuffing fucking junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pissing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, fucked-up brats you have spawned to replace yourself. Choose your future. Choose life. But why would I want to do a thing like that? I chose not to choose life: I chose something else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who needs reasons when you’ve got heroin?” - Trainspotting

“When you hear someone from the very north of Scotland speaking I think it’s nice, very musical and harmonious” - Sean Connery

“Glasgow is broken windows and bills to pay. Empty fridges and showers in the darkness, unhealthy food, second hand bookshops, never-paid fines from the library, Mumford and sons, architecture, technical drawings and models to cut your fingers. It’s exams and anxiety, its sunshine and rain and snow and sunshine again. The necropolis, Wetherspoons’ toilets, Poundland, it’s the forty minutes home-Uni everyday, Govan to hate, Govan to love, Wiston blue for 6 pounds, it’s homesick and fear, overseas calls, it’s cappuccino for lunch. It’s wet clothes on the radiator and clothes everywhere and clothes who-knows-whose-are-these, it’s going home in the evening and find them, it’s the fights for the cleaning turns, it’s the three of us in the bathroom, it’s being paranoid for ever noise, It’s used filters and using the same towels. It’s I love you and silences, first times, it is promises. Glasgow is the smell of changes and choices; Glasgow is memories and future, Glasgow the saviour, the love, all I needed, all I want.” - Federica Giardino

There are two seasons in Scotland: June and Winter. - Billy Connolly

“An’ tho’ I yet may be from home, However far that it may be Thro’ all the places that I roam Scotland will still be dear to me” - stanza from “Dear Auld Scotland” by Charles Nicol

858 A king who united Scotland and fought off the Norse invaders to save his country from complete destruction. The story of MacAlpin is virtually mythical with few known facts, additionally his heroic tale bears little relation to the known facts. Kenneth was born around 800 AD in the Gaelic Kingdom of Dal Riata, in this time period the Gaels were dominated by a more powerful Pictish kingdom. The Pictish kingdom was almost fully killed off during the ninth century viking raids of 839 AD It is factual knowledge, however, that Kenneth MacAlpin claimed his throne due to blood lines from both Gael and Pict relations between 839 and 848 AD After his rein Kenneth faced the challenge of a 140 ship Viking raid destroying Pictland. Kenneth became determined to unite the Gael and the Pict kingdom in an attempt to keep the virtue of their country alive. In his attempt to achieve this both lines raided the Angles of Northumbria which evidently later resulted in unionship Kenneth died in 858 AD with the legacy that he founded and began a unification between the Gaelic and Pictish kingdoms which evolved into the country we now know to be Scotland.

we have had so many highlights over the last 2 and a half years, from having our garments worn on X Factor to being nominated for the Scottish Fashion Awards and showing at LFW for 3 s easons, but if we had to pick a highlight, it would have to be our garments being featured in UK Vogue September Issue 2012. This was an absolute dream come true for us, especially getting to work with such high-profile stylists, models and photographers. What would be your ultimate achievement?

Our ultimate achievement would be to show our couture collections worldwide at acclaimed fashion weeks and be stocking cool quirky boutiques around the world with our ready to wear lines.
