Attemptation

The most important matter in a kindergarten is nothing more but childrens’ usage of spaces and the management of the kindergarten. In the usage of space, I start with round shape classroom under a unit system, I believe a classroom in round shape is filled with more potential to the childrens’ education. A large space of playground is left under classroom unit system. Giving back nature to the kids and consider the safety of them is one of the major objectives I am trying to do, not only can children have fun, but the parents can also spend some time in the playground with their children after school. Materials, I choose wood for it gives a warm space feeling comparing to concrete and other materials, and I hope the walls of the classroom is far away from repainting and decorations.

Pavilion-Clearness/Vague

Method

Entrance A

Attemptation

This is a temporary pavilion design located at the National Museum of Fine Art. The pavilion is design for a installation of a movie exhibition in the museum. The concept of my design is about what visual experience can give us. After a realistic historic scene is being represent by different directors, the movie becomes subjective, and the objectiveness of the history will not be successfully passed on to the audiences’. In conclusion, I think it’s “The person on the spot is clear, the onlooker is baffled.

Academic Project

THU Sports Center and Mall Attemptation

The design starts with group discussion of future urban planning posibilities, and each individuals choose a topic or a problem that one is interested in to do design. Next, it is to place this issue into a certain place in Tunhai University. In the process, it’s divided into three stages: (1) Taichung’s history development, transportation, urban texture, networks, and etc. After the progress of analysing and summerizing, we conclude Taichung to be an urban sharing system, sharing different information sources with each other.

(2) Start to take the urban sharing system concept into the site, Tunhai University. Under the concept, THU, as a education organization, we conclude that industry, education, tourism, and residential have the most potential to transform. Then each individual begins to position the character of THU under each issue. I am to design a sports center at the entrance of the school’s gate. It porvide not only the students but also the citizens and maybe some patients, because it’s a hospital across the street.

Flowing House Attemptation

This is a practice of having students to be both the client and the architecture. We need to balance our concept and ambitions with the clients needs. Sometimes, it will be awkward when two things can not match, but it is a necessary and interesting practice. My concept begins in dancing. Dancing and Architectures have some things in common. Therefore, I tried to define what a flowing space would be like. In plans, the walls become curves in order to create spacial experiences. In section, I make the levels in disorder n order to have a wider view of the house. The house can be divided into three systems, private, public, and studio. Every system has a to be the core. The last system is the yard, the yard could be found in every direction of the house.
