Dr. Hermawan Kresno Dipojono was born in Yogyakarta, February 7, 1956, Prof. Herman is an alumnus of Engineering Physics ITB 1979 and then continued his education at the University of Hawaii, USA for Master’s Degree and Ohio State University, United States for doctoral level. Prof. Hermawan involved in CMD research collaboration with Ohio State University, Delft University of Science and Technology, and Osaka University. Since January 2011, Prof. Herman is getting mandate as Dean of Faculty of Industrial Technology (FTI) ITB. He is also giving his contribution on Salman Mosque of ITB, as Chairman of the Trustees of the Mosque Foundation Salman ITB period 1997-2007, and continued as an elder member council of Salman Mosque ITB since 2008.

Prof. Leehter Yao is currently the President of National Taipei University of Technology (also known as Taipei Tech) and Association of National Universities of Science and Technology of Taiwan. Prior to assuming Taipei Tech’s presidency in February 2011, he served as the Vice President, Provost, and Dean of College of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering.

President Yao received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from University of Wisconsin – Madison, U.S.A. in 1992. President Yao’s research mainly focuses on Energy Monitoring and Control, Intelligent Control, and Pattern Recognition. President Yao received Outstanding Academia-Industry Research Cooperation Award in 2000, Outstanding Electrical Engineering Professor Award in 2008, Outstanding Engineering Professor Award in 2010. President Yao has held multiple leadership roles at the university, academic communities and government commissions, including Chief Executive and currently Chairperson of Committee of Recruitment Policy Advancement for Technological Colleges and Universities in Taiwan, and Commissioner of Joint Commission of Technological and Vocational College Admission Committee in Taiwan. In the past two decades, President Yao has been a strong and tireless advocate for quantum quality improvement in the national technical and vocational education. His unflagging pursuit of excellence has been noticeably demonstrated by many of his exceptional contributions to teaching, research, and productive applications in field industry, not the least of which are the constructive reforms made in tertiary technical education system. Dr. Flora Chang is the president of Tamkang University. She had been the Vice President of Tamkang University for 17 years and with her academic and administrative experiences, she leads TKU into the path to a world-renowned and top quality comprehensive university.

Dr. Chang earned a master’s degree in economics from San Francisco State University in 1982 and a master ’s degree in education from Stanford University in 1983. After earning a doctor of education degree from Stanford University in 1995, she became an associate professor in TKU’s Teacher Education Program and Graduate Institute of Educational Policy and Leadership. She is currently a Professor of Graduate Institute of Educational Policy and Leadership of TKU. Under her leadership, in 2009, TKU was awarded the 19th National Quality Award from the Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs for being the first university in Taiwan to introduce the system of Total Quality Management. She was named the 2011 Alumna of the Year by San Francisco State University for her outstanding experiences and achievements in applying her expertise in total quality management and distance learning technology to streamline university operations since becoming the president of TKU in 2004. Due to her specialty in higher education of Taiwan, Dr. Flora Chang was elected by the Board of Directors (Ministry of Education) as the Chairperson of the Foundation for International Cooperation in Higher Education of Taiwan, currently representing 118 member universities to function as a platform for international cooperation between Taiwanese and foreign universities.

Kwang-Hwa Lii Vice President National Central University, Taiwan
Professor Kwang-Hwa Lii received his B.S. degree in Chemistry from National Taiwan Normal University in 1976, and his Ph.D. degree in Inorganic Chemistry from Iowa State University (U.S.A.) in 1985. He was a postdoctoral research associate at Exxon Research and Engineering Company (U.S.A.) in 1986. From 1987 to 1999, he was an Associate Research Fellow (1987-1990), and a Research Fellow (19901999) at Institute of Chemistry, Academia Sinica (Taiwan). Since 1998, Professor Lii has been a Full Professor in Department of Chemistry at National Central University, and had served as the Chairman of Chemistry Department from 1998 to 2003. Professor Lii also served as the Dean of the College of Science from 2004 to 2006 and the Dean of Academic Affairs from 2006 to 2013. Since 2013, he has served as a Vice President. In 2008, Professor Lii was honored by National Central University to become one of the Chair Professors. In addition, he has also been a Joint Research Fellow at Institute of Chemistry, Academia Sinica (Taiwan) since 1999. His research was honored by several awards including three Distinguished Research Awards (1991, 1998, 2003) from National Science Council (Taiwan), National Science Council Invited Principal Investigator in 2006, Distinguished Alumni Award (2011), the ISI Citation Classic Award in 2001, and the Distinguished Scholar Award from the Ministry of Education (Taiwan) in 2004. Since 2007, Professor Lii has been awarded with the National Chair Professorship from Ministry of Education (Taiwan).

Prof. Anas Miftah Fauzi was born in 1960. He received MEng in Fermentation Technology from Osaka University (Japan) in 1990 and PhD in Microbiology from Kent University (UK) in 1996. His administration role includes Secretary Department of Agroindustrial Technology (1991-1992), Vice Dean for academic affairs at Faculty of Agriculture Engineering and Technology (1997 – 2003), Dean of Faculty of Agriculture Engineering and Technology (2004 – 2007), Vice Rector for Research and Collaboration at Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) (2008 – now). He attended several overseas professional trainings and workshops such as in Taiwan, Australia, Switzerland, Germany, Netherlands, Korea, Thailand, Phillipine and Japan, etc. He actively engages in international forums and is a member of IAAC - QS APPLE. He initiates and manages international academic collaborations such as joint research and joint/double degree programs. He currently serves as Speaker (coordinator) of Indonesian University Consortium (IPB, Tadulako University and Jambi University) in the Collaborative Research Center with Goettingen University, Jerman.

Chang-Hsien Tai President National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, Taiwan
Prof. Tai is currently the academic vice president of the National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST), TAWIAN; he took the post in August 2006. NPUST is a national university with a large, scenic campus, which covers about 300 hectares and is located in southern Taiwan. The student body is about 12,000, including undergraduates and postgraduates. NPUST is a university famous for its teaching and research programs in the areas of tropical agriculture, wildlife conservation, biotechnology, and green technology and engineering. It collaborates with many foreign universities in these areas via faculty and student exchanges, and other academic activities. Before becoming Academic Vice President, Dr. Tai served as a faculty member of the Department of Vehicle Engineering at NPUST and the Department of Mechanics Engineering at Chung-Cheng Institute of Technology (CCIT) for over 30 years. In addition to his teaching and research activities, he was also appointed director of several administrative departments of the university, such as the dean or chairman, etc. He was also appointed Chinese army colonel at CCIT from 1996 to 1999, right before he was demobilized and transferred into the NPUST. Dr. Tai earned his bachelor degree in mechanics engineering from CCIT, and a master’s degree in mechanics engineering from National Taiwan University. He earned his Ph.D. in aircraft engineering from University of Michigan in USA. With this academic background, his previous research focused on the algorithm development of the computational fluid dynamics and its application including of shock wave, two phase flow, fluid-structure interaction, turbo-machinery, wind turbine, and green power system. In addition to his affiliation with NPUST, Dr. Tai also served as a committee member to many academic and non-academic associations.

Chung-shiuan Chang obtained an Ed.D. at Teachers College, Columbia University in 1991 with her research focus on children’s creative dance. She was a founding member of Neo-Classic Dance Company led by Dr. Liu Feng-hsueh, a respected choreographer and dance scholar in Taiwan. She has been a full-time teacher at the Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA) since 1992. At TNUA, besides teaching, she has been the chair of dance department, the dean of the dance school and the dean of academic affairs. Currently, she is the vice president at TNUA.

Despite an expert of art and dance as a science, Dr. A.M. Hermien Kusmayati is also a dancer, herself. In her tender age, she learned ballet in Malang. In Jakarta she learned and fell in love with Javanese classical dance.

Finished high school in 1969, she did not hesitate to join ASTI in Yogyakarta. she is convinced that her mission of life is in the field of art and dance. Since 1974, she joined Pakualaman Royal Dance Group as a Javanese Dance trainer. She was deeply involved with the royal Pakualaman dance reorganization until she became an expert of the sacred court dance Bedhaya. She made also a research (1993) of "The Comparison of Jebeng Dance Style in the tradition of Yogyakarta Sultanate and Puro Pakualaman". To present date, she is entrusted to organize Javanese classical and sacred court dance in Puro Pakualaman. She has participated in a lot of art and dance workshops in many cities of this country as well as abroad. Meanwhile her process of study continued, she was a diligent student in her subject. In 1976-1977, she studied Ethnomusicology in the Netherlands, where she got a chance to open wider her perception of art.
Education
She graduated from ASTI (now is ISI) in 1979 and in 1988 she got her MSc degree from Post-Graduate Study of Gajah Mada University. She had other important paper works a. o. : "The meaning of dance in a ceremony in Indonesia" (1990) "Regional dance" (1992) etc. For her Doctor degree, she spent 6 months in Leiden, The Netherlands, doing research work.

Dr. Tzu-Hsiang Ko is currently the President of Lunghwa University of Science and Technology (LHU), one of the most distinctive universities of Science and Technology in northern Taiwan with over 10,000 students. LHU has a long history of higher education which emphasizes academic and research programs in engineering, science, management, liberal arts, and innovation as well as active cooperation with industry partners. The education of LHU focuses on cultivating scientific and technical personnel, following the philosophy “pragmatism, excellence, innovation” and the formula “Competency = (Knowledge + Skill) Attitude”. Since taking over the duties of Presidency in 2009, Dr. Ko has led LHU to achieve remarkably both in academic and professional recognitions. LHU has earned the Ministry of Education’s “Promoting Excellence in Teaching by Universities” Program 9 years in a row. The sum of the grant received through this program is now over 16 million U.S. Dollars, which makes LHU the top achiever among the other private universities of technology in northern Taiwan. In 2010, all evaluated colleges and departments in LHU achieved the first-rate ranking in the University Evaluation held by the Ministry of Education in Taiwan. Furthermore, LHU was selected as the Technological University Paradigm by the Ministry of Education from 2012 to 2014. Until now, LHU has received over 2.66 million U.S. Dollars. Dr. Ko has been devoted to promoting the internationalization and practical education. In practical education, students have been actively guided and encouraged to obtain international professional language certificates, which resulted in the largest number of students getting licenses among all technical and vocational schools in northern Taiwan in the past three years. In the aspect of internationalization, LHU has successfully recruited over 600 students from other universities and colleges in Vietnam, Malaysia, China, and Korea, etc. He also encourages students to participate in International Exhibition of Inventions. From 2010 to 2013, the achievements of award-winning have been accumulated up to 32 gold medals, 37 silver medals, 20 bronze medals and 14 special prizes.

Because of his excellent leadership and execution ability, not only does Dr. Ko make LHU the top private university of technology in Taiwan, but he was also elected as the Chairman of Association of Private Universities and Colleges of Technology, leading all private technological Universities in Taiwan. Besides, Dr. Ko possesses the certificates of Certified Project Manager, Certified Trainer and Certified Project Management Associate offered by IPMA. Dr. Ko is also the recipient of numerous important awards, which include Top 100 Excellent Teachers of 2010, 2011 and 2013 in Taiwan Project Management Association and the Award of Special Contribution and Excellent Administrative Member provided by the Ministry of Education. Serving as the main convener in Student Affairs Coordination Center in Taipei and New Taipei City, Dr. Ko always engages the most efforts on student counseling, guidance and assistance.
