Giuseppe Tornatore Giuseppe Tornatore (born 27 May 1956) is an Italian film director and screenwriter. He is considered as one of the directors who brought critical acclaim back to Italian cinema. In a career spanning over 30 years he is best known for directing and writing drama films such as The Legend of 1900, Malèna, Baarìa and The Best Offer.
WHY HAVE I CHOSEN HIM ?
Giuseppe Tornatore is in love with people who are in love with the movies. His sunny “Cinema Paradiso,” winner of the 1989 Oscar for best foreign language film, showed how a village theater in Sicily changed the life of a small boy. “The Legend of 1900” also is my favorite one. “The Legend of 1900” is a beautiful and venturesome companion piece to the director’s beloved “Cinema Paradiso,” for both are deeply moving affirmations of the power of the imagination.
David Fincher David Andrew Leo Fincher (born August 28, 1962) is an American film director, film producer, television director, television producer, and music video director. He was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Director for the romantic fantasy drama “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” (2008) and the drama “The Social Network” (2010). For the latter, he won the Golden Globe Award for Best Director and the BAFTA Award for Best Direction.
Of his films, I first remember being impressed by Seven (1995). There’s a big idea there that guides every choice of cut and shot. What in the beginning seems like a very well-made thriller, by the end completely blows your mind with unexpected turns that you can never forget. I think he is an example of a director who is a modern auteur. He has a strong artistic vision and with it he is able to produce commercial movies.
Francis Ford Coppola Francis Ford Coppola (born April 7, 1939) is an American film director, producer and screenwriter. He was part of the New Hollywood wave of filmmaking.
He is a master in film making area. Also, He is a good adventurer. He is never afraid of risks. He always have a good philosophy about risks. With his words “If you don’t take a risk then how are you going to make something really beautiful, that hasn’t been seen before?” , that’s why I have chosen him.

Life and Career
Born in Bagheria near Palermo, Tornatore developed an interest in acting and the theatre from at least the age of 16 and put on works by Luigi Pirandello and Eduardo De Filippo. He worked initially as a freelance photographer. Then, switching to cinema, he made his debut with Le minoranze etniche in Sicilia (The Ethnic Minorities in Sicily), a collaborative documentary film which won a Salerno Festival prize. He then worked for RAI before releasing his first full-length film, Il Camorrista, in 1985. This evoked a positive response from audience and critics alike and Tornatore was awarded the Silver Ribbon for best new director. Tornatore’s best known screen work was released in 1988: Nuovo Cinema Paradiso, a film narrating the life of a successful film director who has returned to his native town in Sicily for the funeral of his mentor. This obtained worldwide success and won an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. Subsequently Tornatore released several other films. In 2007 he won the Silver George for Best Director at the 29th Moscow International Film Festival for The Unknown Woman.
